I'm looking to install a USB charger for my cellphone onto the bike.  I was wondering what is a Good one to get?  Also How should I wire it it?  I'm kinda paranoid about leaving it connected to the battery 24/7 and possibly want to hook it up so it only powers when the bike is on.  I was thinking maybe patch it into the headlights.

As for Bluetooth, with cellphone not having 3.5mm jacks anymore I was wondering if there is a goo way to wire a Bluetooth setup for the radio?

As to the phone not having the 3.5 mm jack. I was able to find an adapter relatively cheap for an iPhone. It has a 3.5 and the regular charging Jack. As to the USB charger, you can use the accessory plug or wire it to a fuse block.

I didn't know the bike had a accessory plug.  Is it like a cars accessory port or do I need some special plug for it?  Sorry i know it seems like a silly question, just trying to get stuff together before I pull it from storage.  Don't have the bike with me to look at it.

Under the right side panel will be a couple unused wires inside of a rubber boot. They can be hard to locate sometimes. With a voltmeter you will see that they have 12 volts with the key on. It is only rated for 5 amps, but that should be fine for just charging your phone. A better route is to wire up a fuse block. Then you will have multiple outlets for other stuff.

You can eliminate the cord with a 12V Bluetooth dongle:

You will need an adapter to go from RCA to 3.5 mm. I installed this in 2015. It works fine.  No noise or static. It is small and fits behind the side cover. Use the auxiliary power port from the factory for the 12V source.  I installed a 12 v power outlet on the handlebars and a RAM mount for the phone.

Do they already have connectors on them and if they do what can I connect to them?

This is my second reply, first went to the unknown.

I recommend that you look up "Da Prez" on this board. He lives in your area and knows the Valkyrie inside and out. I am sure he could set a little time for you to go to his place and have it done properly. It wont take long, so it should be reasonable.

You do not want to let the smoke out ! I am sure either he or his brother "old to soon" will read this and respond.

yes, the typical Japanese bullet connectors. Just about anything that's not going to pull over 5 amps.

these are what I ordered for the accessory connection.  I read somewhere this is the size.  I am yet to install them.  That will be this weekend so I can report back or maybe someone with better Valkyrie knowledge can chime in.  I just acquired mine so starting maintenance shortly.

I'm in Chicago too, so once this crazy world calms down a bit more I'd love to get a group together for a tech day or something similar in the area.

There are a couple companies which make a combination voltmeter, cigarette lighter receptacle and USB charger device for motorcycle use. The ones I've seen have a 1" diameter clamp and can be mounted between the handlebar risers if you use a split top clamp. Or elsewhere on the bars if you don't.

I used a similar setup on a couple of bikes I owned.

I tried the solder in banana plugs as listed above but didn't;t really like the fit and ended up with these. worked a bit better and easier to work with crimp-on and heat shrink
