get admonished by your "fellow" deez.  Incredible!  See how they are?!?!?   Angry  What a streaming crock of sh!t.

https://www.detroitnews.com/story/new/politics/2020/04/23/democrats-plan-censure-lawmaker-whitsett-credited-trump-covid-19-recovery/3010947001/

“Thank you for everything that you have done,” Whitsett told Trump at the meeting. “I did not know that saying thank you had a political line. … I’m telling my story and my truth, and this how I feel and these are my words.”

Obviously this was the straw that broke the proverbial Democrat donkey's back.  Admonishion time!

The admonishion means she will not get the group’s endorsement for this year nor will she be able to engage in the group’s activities for the next two election cycles.

“At the end of the day, we have political systems,” said Jonathan Kinloch, chairman of the organization. “We have political parties, and political parties exist for a reason."

“They do not belong to themselves,” Kinloch said of endorsed candidates and elected officials. “They belong to the members and precinct delegates of the Democratic Party.”

Whitsett, the resolution said, "has repeatedly and publicly praised the president's delayed and misguided COVID-19 response efforts in contradiction with the scientifically based and action-oriented response" from Michigan's Democratic leadership, "endangering the health, safety and welfare of her constituents, the city of Detroit and the state of Michigan."

Michigan State Medical Society President Dr. Mohammed Arsiwala prescribed hydroxychloroquine and an antibiotic for Whitsett after she visited one of his Michigan Urgent Care clinics in Wyandotte. She had symptoms of COVID-19 and an underlying condition, he told The Detroit News.

Just another reason I wish it were possible to do away with political parties tomorrow.  Elected officials too often forget they were elected to serve the people and instead believe they are elected to serve the party.

Disgusting.  Unfortunately I find no emoticon for three thumbs down.

I believe George Washington stated this would be the case if political parties formed.  And it has been the case since they formed.  I would bet it has never been so prevalent though as it has this century.

The same way Mitt Romney is persona non grata in the party of Trump. Although, that would be a national response vs. a local Detroit response. Same way John McCain was shunned. The Republicans are just as guilty of shenanigans as the Democrats. Some overlook that though.

Apples to Oranges here:

John McCain was never barred from the Republican Party, neither has Mitt Romney.

Sure there were squabbles and words exchanged, but there were no official efforts to prevent them from being re-elected.

A censure and no endorsements from them does not preclude her from being re-elected. On the contrary, it may be to her advantage.

From his Tweet:

Quote
Vernon Jones @RepVernonJones

Apr 21
I’ve seen more Democrats attack me for my decision to endorse @realDonaldTrump  than ask me why.

They’ve used and abused folks in my community for far too long, taking our votes for granted.

Black Americans are waking up. An uprising is near.

He's stated that he's staying in the Democratic Party to "Hold them accountable".

I'm not sure how that's going to work.

Instead of giving up his seat he should've just switched parties.

She would be doing so without any monetary help from the DNC.

I doubt that she would be able to run an effective campaign.

Probably what they're banking on.

I'd love to see her switch parties and keep her seat.

Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones has changed his mind about resigning from the state legislature, announcing Thursday that he would “remain on the battlefield” despite the Democratic outcry over his endorsement of President Trump.

Mr. Jones, a black Democrat, said he received “an overwhelming amount of support” from his constituents, as well as “fellow Georgians and fellow Americans from across this country,” after declaring Wednesday that he had “left the plantation” and would step down.

“You know what, America?” said Mr. Jones in an online video. “I thought about it, and I talked to my family and I talked to my supporters, and because of what you did for me, I am going to remain on the battlefield. I am going to complete my term, I am going to put my country before my party.”

Some thinking on the subject confirms my earlier theory about all of the
pilloried democrats who are unafraid to speak their truth

Vernon James and others are now  a virus in the democratic party which DNC can not fight effectively

But this is a good virus as its a marker so that all can see what truly is in the party. Better than tuning into FOX or any news outlet, the youtubes speak for themselves

The Democratic party has become the party of the uber wealthy both inside and outside the USA who are determined to force a socialist, globalist end to the Constitution

And the media they control is increasingly irrelevant to the average american

I believe this totally and it is why I am still a Democrat arguing as vocally as possible that the party
is no longer relevant to any working american or any american who wants to be working

The Democrats will destroy the country in an effort to get Trump out of office.

However it will backfire IMHO and the party will die from the virus of truth

The Democratic Party in  Michigan is historically one of the most corrupt in the country. This doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.

You hit the nail on the head Evan. The Democrats by putting funding for the Kennedy Center, their raise and more Democrat projects in the virus funding proved to me that they don't give a crap about people's lives. I'm fairy sure that someone suffering from the virus could give a chit less that the Kennedy Center gets funding. How many PPEs and masks could that money have bought. It doesn't surprise me that a few democrats are finally seeing their party is wrong.

The fable of the Emperor's New Clothes comes to mind when I think about the DNC

I am sure everyone has heard of it

What many however dont know is There is also an Indian version of the story from 1283 or earlier.

The dishonest merchant Dhana swindles the King of Śrāvastī by offering to weave a supernatural garment that cannot be seen or touched by any person of illegitimate birth. When the king is supposedly wearing the garment, his whole court pretends to admire it. The king is then paraded about his city to show off the garment; when the common folk ask him if he has become a naked ascetic, he realizes the deception, but the swindler has already fled.

In my analogy, the DNC is the swindler, Biden is the hapless King and Vernon James and others are the children who can see what is real

Just sayin............

Oss

Thanks Dennis and Mark

I am also thinking that closing the countries business was a bad idea as deaths are less than any flu in any year. Yes all deaths are horrifying, but 26 million out of work is 25 million more than would have been in peril if not more.  Countries that did not close but were having people wear masks like Taiwan and Sweden, and allowing doctors to do what they think best appear to have been correct and we incorrect  Our liberties may have taken a body blow.
