I am planning my breakout (well our breakout since the wife will be going with me).  I had several rides in the planning stages for 2020 but....

This would happen in mid May if conditions and weather cooperate.

Anyway, one of them is what I call the "Blues Cruz".  The plan is to take as many rural roads as possible west to Clarksdale and travel down Mississippi 1 to Natchez and then turn East to head home.

Would anyone like to make some comments on my proposed route.

As I said the goal is to take as many rural roads as possible, but say in name brand hotels (my daughter works with Hilton hotels in her current job, helping manage several hotels).

Of course the other issue is finding places to eat.  By mid May do you think that will be an issue.

I can provide the route in a simple PDF file or a GPX file if you are interested in commenting.

I've considered a ride like that to get over to Hattiesville to visit
the Punisher. With the BFGPS I could take all rural roads  cooldude ...

A six hour interstate trip that would turn into two days to get out there.

I've been through Tupelo and Huntsville and Fort Payne recently, that's
a generally good route through that part.

Thanks Mike.  I appreciate the feedback.

Have not set a date yet.  Probably in a few weeks at most.  Right now its a six day 1,600 mile trip.
