Man I sure do miss those yearly BBQ's down there in Friendswood, Texas.  I know it was a hell of a lot of work to put those on but I was always amazed how many used to show up and how far they came.  Anyway Hotglue, Flamingo babe and all who helped out it was sure was  appreciated.  Nothing great I guess lasts forever.

Absolutety miss the GOTF.  Mark inspired me to learn to cook brisket.  Went and got an automatic pellet smoker.  Got it down pretty good, too!  I wouldn't compare it to Hotglue's - but it's dang better than any restaurant Q!  Smoke it for 8 hours, then cook another 8 wrapped up in the oven - low & slow.  Wish I could party like the Baker's but we wouldn't presume!  Not to mention, no nice setup like their's.  Missin it - and the ride!

Assuming COVID-19 has been contained, you can start planning on a Southern Mississippi event around April 1st of 2021.   I’m already working on it.

It won’t be a GOTF but, it will be a good time!

It would be nice but, I'm not convinced COVID-19 will be contained by then and it might raise it's ugly head again this fall.   Too many variables.  Hattiesburg's Mayor just issued more restrictions through the next month and no idea if it'll be extended past that.   But, by fall, my home project should be finished and I'll be happy to share some wind with you.

That home project has taken a huge amount of time and resources, all that while I tried to set up and execute the last gathering.   Honestly, it's best for me to just wait a year.
