They Were Expendable

I heard about this last night.  It was reported in various news outlets almost two weeks ago. 

I was either distracted or did not put two and two together and get four.

Just for the record, the USS Comfort Arrived in New York harbor in the week of April 2, 2020.  During its stay in New York Harbor, the USS Comfort had less than 200 patients.  It had the capacity to take up to 1,000 patients. 

You must also remember that the USS Comfort was initially not to take COVID-19 patients but this changed when several patients with the disease were sent to the ship.

Wow, this COVID-19 stuff sounds highly contagious!  

Cuomo is another story altogether.    I'm glad we dont have to deal with him here.  We have our own Governor "issues".

Contaigion of the disease is not the issue in what the Mayor did. 

It was well known that those most at risk (and one hs to define what "most at risk means compared to other diseases") were (from the Mayo Clinic, April 9, 2020) 

"People of any age, even children, can catch COVID-19. But it most commonly affects middle-aged and older adults. The risk of developing dangerous symptoms is higher in people age 65 and older. The highest rate of mortality from the disease is in people age 80 and older. Risks are even higher for older people when they have underlying health conditions."
