Hey rafalc, wondering what you used to cut the nice straight lines in the sheet metal of the rear fender?

Nice work all around.

Thanks. I just used a cutoff wheel and went as slow and as careful as I could. Then went over with a sanding disk to finish the cuts off.

Wow,, you certainly can get into and stay in "the zone".. good work.  Did you use a three inch wheel on an angle grinder, or something smaller on a dremel type tool? I need to do some fine work and was thinking a nibbler shear would be too much of a tool for the job.

It was actually a 4" wheel on an angle grinder. I taped it off, marked everything out and went VERY slow. First pass was just to make a shallow channel, then a few more passes after making the cut deeper. The fender is actually thicker than I expected.

Another addition/mod... I couldn't find any highway pegs that I liked or that would fit the style of the bike so.... here we go...

Version 1:

Version 2:
V1 didn't look right and did not keep my legs from rolling off the bars so I gave her some Valkyrie Wings! or cradles... or pegs... whatever you want to call them. I think "Valkyrie Wings" fit the bill.

Cradles the ankle and keeps it in place

Also comfortable to simply rest your foot on

Now that she's finished I finally got around to sorting out the original parts which were taken off and not used. Take a look here if you're looking for anything. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Boy Kudos to you on the meticulous work and detail, I am most impressed. But...having spent  my formative years  working on a farm it seems like a lot of effort to make your bike look like a Farmall. Just saying.

So much work done and full credit to you but I would have had it gloss black with a red stripe going down its back.
