Cookiedough said: some 1500 (what I call insane people) held a rally NO permits at the WI state capital in Madison WI nearby me protesting the stay at home ban and recently 79 (maybe even more by now) of those 1500 soon afterwards tested positive for this virus. I call BS on the above statement. There is no way anyone can tell who, or how many, (if any) of the people at that rally became infected while protesting there. You have been sucked into the media's hype. I am not trying to downplay the severity of this pandemic, but I do try to look objectively at what the media is throwing out as news. First of all, there were several thousand at that rally. So the media downplays the number of protesters, and hypes up the number of people supposedly infected to fit their narrative. What happened to the thousands that the media claimed were going to get infected because the state continued on with the election in April? CRICKETS by the media because the spike they claimed would set us back by months did not happen. Jim

I too went to a local restaurant last night for beer and bull hit.
6 of us sat at a table.
Wait staff were gloved and masked.
I used hand sanitizer as needed.
Customers for take away were coming in masked / unmasked.
One lady came into the dining room masked and on the phone. Mask was on her chin cause you know they stop all sound waves.

One customer at the restaurant I was at spoke to a couple of people at the table I was seated at. Said they wouldn't be opening their restaurant over Memorial Day weekend "because it would be too busy". You could have heard our jaws drop as they walked away.

Had several mohawks as a kid and young man. Now I am with many others, not much up there, maybe a reverser Mohawk. Now I use a trimmer to go over my head once a week, keep it short. Face hair grows about twice as fast had those hairs on the top. Wish some of our restaurants would open, do miss going out for meals.

I had lunch yesterday at my favorite pizza place. I sat down at a table. Over half the tables were labeled not available due to social distancing. Several of my favorite young people were there again. During the past few weeks they have been running with minimal staff and carry out only. It felt good but it was still very limited. I treated myself to a piccolo gelato. I had a good time. I'm still waiting for more of the stupidity to go away.

One biker bar opened up early against governors orders to stay closed for a little while longer the curve has to go down for like 14 days to reopen all and not there yet. I guess the law is seeing what they will do to the owner? News said they ran out of food it was so packed in there. I say open up and go in if you risk getting the virus, should be up to the individual to go or not, right? Does not affect me one way or another since do not go out to eat much at all. Amen!

I think they should all open in mass. What are they going to do? Throw them in jail and then let them out because of the virus?

Suspend their licenses to operate and then "put 'em down" with lawsuits and civil penalties. Any defiance of that gets ya into "administrative law" where criminal penalties add up for not complying with civil paperwork and ya can't win that. Keep trying and they'll eventually kill you. ...at least...that's what they're trying here after the outright "arrest her for not prostrating herself before the judge" got overturned.

Yesterday, May 15, saw the phase 1 opening of our southern counties in Oregon. This opened up places like restaurants, bars, hair cutters, and gyms. All have to have a limit to the amount of folks in these places, "Social Distancing", lots of cleaning. etc. Didn't just head out to eat. Will wait a bit before heading out to eat. Will head to the gym where I worked out before the Virus on Monday.

wife just got word might be going back to work last week in May working from home last 8 weeks or so. NEW rules: NO microwave, NO fridge, in building to use and moving PC desk stuff to another desk NOT 6 feet apart from other guy sitting across from her. I say take away the bathrooms and make them go outside in nature, why not? Hey, they PUSH buttons ALL of them on the printer daily so take away the fricking printers so unable to do their jobs - idiots! NO microwave and fridge to use is total B.S. since a lot bring in frozen processed meals that needing a microwave is essential daily to EAT. I guess go back to peanut butter/Jelly and bologna sandwiches is all?
