Got the ole smoke pole out this year to get another forrest rat.  We normally go through 2 deer a year, but our teenage son is now eating more than me.  So the wife said we needed #3.

THANX for keepin it safe up there...but fire arms have come a long ways in the past 200yrs,do you need to borrow a center fire rifle? LOL  cooldude

but seriously , she looks tasty  cooldude and going for the  doe is way more effective population control.

keep up the good work last week we had one of them rats take out two mirrors on the same car it thought it could jump over the car and failed took out the drivers side mirror and then jumped over the car and wiped out the passenger side mirror kind a sad lot of car damage and just ran off in to the woods wagging its white tail as it left

in 1990.  I was lucky enough to draw a Michigan Elk tag that year, so I upgraded from my TC Hawken that I had since the mid 70's.  The gun is kind of neat in the way the barrels are regulated.  The center rib ends about 6 inches from the end of the barrels and the left barrel "floats" in the barrel band.  You sight the right barrel in, then the left barrel is moved to the same point of impact with set screws in the end barrel band.  The first set of barrels I had on the gun was close to a foot off when I bought the gun, so I had the dealer send them back and I got a new set.  These regulated in with no problem.  The left isn't as accurate, but will keep 5 shots in 5 inches at 80 yards.  While the right will cut clover leafs at the same distance on a good day.  The gun is HEAVY!!, but there is very little felt recoil shooting home cast 370 grain maxies behind 90 grains of FFF.  It has served me well over the last 19 years, with at least 25 deer and one elk to its credit.
