I had to pick up a prescription at Kroger this morning. Our Kroger in their infinite wisdom has made one entrance into entry only and at the extreme other end of the building is the new exit only site. I parked directly in front of the exit only door and it’s pouring down rain. Guess which door I used to enter the building?
A lady and her husband who were leaving with their purchases in full virus gear, felt it was necessary to inform me that I was supposed to use the door down the block. I just sighed, I know and continued on my way.
I’m expecting a knock on the door from the exit door police at any moment.

Most stores I've been in over the past month do the same. The 6 ft lines are out in the main aisles blocking other customers. Makes sense doesn't it. Crowd people together in the aisles and then make someone walk the length of the building to exit rather than use the closest one. If you have a weird sense of humor like me its kinda comical to watch how people act and how the masks are worn. I need to get out into the world [ tiki bar] and have a beer, greasy ole cheese burger and harass a pretty bartender.

From what I've seen that passes fer "news" had you been in ny you would have been tackled by ny finest knocked to the ground stomped tased clubbed cuffed and given the bums rush downtown. THEN they'd have gotten rough with you. RIDE SAFE.

I can believe that you would commit such a heinous act but you should have been wiser than to post the public confession on our forum. Big Brother will indeed be visiting you in the near future.

ATTENSION SHOPPERS , the store is on fire. Please proceed to the furthest exit and keep the social distancing while in the panic mode. Those with PPE properly worn will receive preference.

I'd tell them to F off and keep walking in just like I told the small Chinese dude with 5 36pk bundles of Costco toilet paper few months ago that he must crap his pants an awfully lot (to that extent) me walking in and him walking out.

John, I'm curious, do you plan these deviations from acceptable and expected society norms or does it just come naturally to you? Some how, I keep imagining you wearing stripes, eventually...….. Rams

I’m a rebel in my own small way. Society norms ran past me a long time ago. My patience for stupidity has practically reached rock bottom. I actually use the approved entry points more often than not but it actually felt really good going in the out door yesterday as I regained a small grain of normalcy and at the same time pissed off a few Covid cool aide drinkers. Oh, I don’t plan much of anything, it’s more fun just watching things unfold. It’s a fine line I have to walk to stay on this side of having to wear stripes! Now I have to get back to mocking tv commercials that get under my skin.

They have tape arrows on the floor at the grocery store now. Alternating one-way isles. I mentally roll my eyes (it would be rude to really roll them ) at all the gloved masked glasses wearing people going the wrong way... on almost every isle... -Mike

Big arrows, no brains. And the register arrows putting the checkout lines across the main isle, and carts pushing through. I only go at the crack of sunup, so it's not too bad.

Oh, I don’t plan much of anything, it’s more fun just watching things unfold.
Not sure it's fun, but things are still unfolding... Seems your Kroger protest was indeed personal but it was probably somewhat empowering. If not, you can do like many others who are mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore... (s) Unlike virologists, they know C19 is a complete hoax. Still they don't complain or gripe just to blow off steam. Many of them are burning midnight oil to write their elected representatives and make them aware of this farce. By day they attend city council meetings and peacefully demonstrate. Since they now have some the time they have dedicated their lives to activism. Many are now running for office locally and regionally. None are threatening violence or considering revolution. (/s) All this said, I do keep my powder dry. It's just not time to let projectiles fly. So I watch too.

Same sights as you Mike. Plus the old couples standing transfixed for minutes in front of a freezer cabinet getting huffy as I walk by them. (I too am pushing old fartage.) The WalMart is using the same main entrance for entrance and exit. If they were really concerned for the shoppers well being they would speed up the checkout process by having more tills open and baggers at each station. It will be a while before I go there again. I usually shop at Ingles where the amount of teeth and brain cells seem to be a little higher per person.

Yeah I was at CVS (local drug store) to get some pain relief for my left index finger that is showing every sign of arthritis in the end joint, I accidently passed too close to a couple wearing masks who said something about me getting too close (I was in my normal shopping mode - laser focused in what I came for and nothing else mattered except not outright running over other people). And THAT was the reason for my rant about going off on mask wearing fools.
We do have some stores with the arrows going one way (at least most people are following the arrows where I see them).

I was crisscrossing the store yesterday and was in an aisle waiting to get by someone and saw an arrow on the floor which I knew was a mistake because I was going in the opposite direction. I would have corrected the situation but it looked like it was stuck down really good. What do you do if you find yourself in a store and you don’t see any arrows on the floor. Wait for someone from management to escort you to a safe zone? Is there an app for your phone that will show you the safe traffic pattern for the store you are in?

No arrows on the floor of stores around here, at least not yet. When out, I've been giving people plenty of personal space. Doing things like moving to the far side of the aisle when passing and waiting at the end of an aisle for someone coming off of it to exit before I start down it.
