I have a Cobra lightbar with twenty-year old 4.25 inch seal beam lamps which are quite yellow and a bit dim. Without changing any wiring or overloading the existing fused circuit, what kind of new lamps will provide the best lighting?

You may need to change the housings to 4" versions in order to fit an LED Daymaker-style sealed-beam or similar unit.

I installed eagle light daymakers in my cobra housings without modifications. No grinding. Electrical plug has to be changed, but no big deal.
