Well, with the help of some of the members here, and a lot of elbow grease, I've finally got the 99 IS I bought for my son in September, cleaned up and running. I rode him on his maiden voyage from Troy to Kazoo, Mi., a 150 mile trip, on Sunday. He received his baptism of rain, from Jackson to Kazoo. He ran great, and is a smooth, solid riding bike. Lazarus has 80,000 miles on him. He got all calipers rebuilt and new brake pads, double row bearing mode, wheels polished, new u-joint, timing belts, carb rebuild, new paint, rear Shinko tire up front, Yokohama avid invigor on rear, Polk db501 speakers, LED tail lights, a lot of plastic repairs. Turned out pretty nice. I'll have to get some pictures to post.
Thanks to Gary Henry (Romeo) for allowing me to use his shop for painting, and his help wet sanding. Thanks to Bill Richardson and Bob Smith for contributing some needed parts.
Edit: Also thanks to JIG for letting me use his tar machine to mount the tars.
There is now a new Valkyrie owner in Scotts,Mi., my son Jason. As soon as we come up with a handle for him, I'll have to sign him up in the Grand Rapids Chapter.

I'm hunting for something LED running/brake/turn for my trunk since my BonS lights were smashed. If you track down anything similar please let know. Sorry for hijack very cool thing you're doing for your son Skinhead. As you know great memories coming, and a gift from your heart that will never be forgotten.

LED lights were just a bulb change in the trunk lights, toying with the idea of running the trunk lights off the trailer wiring, that will make the trunk lights turn signals as well as brake lights. I did the carbs myself. Need Details on LED Tail Lamps - BonS <or> homebrew?

That's what I'm thinking. Painted? Rattle can? -Mike Combination of rattle can and spray gun. Came out ok, but it's not a pro job by any means. I just wanted to get the scratches, gouges, and cracks repaired and get rid of the pin striping and the cheesy eagle mural on the tank. Is it going to be in the movies? He is a stuntman after all... Jason works for Parker Hannefin on aircraft hydraulic pumps. He currently has a Honda Shadow 750 ACE that is a little anemic for the long trips. He will be selling that. Eric is the stuntman and has a streetglide and a Triumph 900. Eric prefers the HDs to the Valkyrie.

I’m not sure this ever happened, since there are no pictures I think Skinhead is delusional or hallucinating. Judging by the amount of paint fumes we ingested, I would assume it to be the latter. It was pleasure hosting Shenaynay for the winter, or was that Sheneequa? Either way, it’s all good my friend. Besides, I learned a thing or two in the process. Safe riding to Jason, it’ll be great to have him along.

????? Male horses run maiden races, and are even referred to as maidens until the horse wins his first race.

Yeah Reb,. It's a lot of work, but very rewarding when it turns out well. It passes me off when people let things go too hell like that in the first place. Laziness l guess.

Yeah I ripped out a lot of shoemaker wiring, but the copper #12 gauge fuse was over the top. Well done Joe....well done........
Thanks. I picked this up as kink of a hobby thing, unless I get a proper shop, I'll find another hobby. Doing it in a 2 car garage full of other crap, sucks.
