Tunes?

I was thinking of installing some tunes on my 2001 Standard.  What do you all recommend?  Where is the best place to hook system up and hide receiver/amp.  Something that isn't too expensive but still have enough volume and clarity to here it at highway speed.  Appreciate any advise you could give.

I apologize in advance as this does not directly address your question, but my solution was an ipod and helmet speakers. Of course, this does not work with no helmet or a half helmet. I also have a 2001 Standard and have no idea where to put an amplifier.

I got myself one of these, plenty of power on the road. I installed the amp in the saddle bag and ran the wires to the front.

i installed a kit by Cycle Tunes on my standard. Amp under the seat on top of the tool kit. Fused power to a toggle switch so you can play tunes without bike switch on.

Mine's a little more involved.  Installed a Kenwood 400w amp behind the coolant tank - swapped the ICM over to make more room.  It feeds into a 300w Lanzar crossover with bluetooth on top of the battery, supports & mixes two different input sources and can power subs.  Quality speakers  on the handlebar. Power via PC-8 power panel with relay and 3-pos sw that enables on with ignition, off, or w/o ignition.  With the latter, that's for tunes at a hotel / BBQ etc, must be supported by adding a charger or the battery will drain.
