A few articles I went back to find but there’s more I know I’ve missed.

I’m just giving the links and not providing a synopsis of each, if you’re interested, read them, if you’re not interested don’t read them, like most things it’s up to you whether or not to inform yourself.

https://www.livescience.com/are-face-masks-effective-reducing-coronavirus-spread.html

https://www.sciencealert.com/this-is-why-advice-on-whether-you-should-wear-a-mask-is-just-so-confusing

https://www.sciencemediacentre.org/expert-reaction-to-new-who-advice-on-use-of-facemasks-in-the-context-of-covid-19/

https://www.theblaze.com/news/former-neurosurgeon-masks-ineffective

For number of these reports, I’m sure there are others promoting reasons TO wear a mask.

For all the numbers I’ve seen and reports I’ve read, the age groups under 60yrs of age have the very least susceptibility to this.

Article from today 5/20/20;

https://www.foxnews.com/health/wearing-face-mask-reduce-coronavirus-transmission-75-percent-study-shows

This was done in Hong Kong with hamsters so take it anyway you choose. I’m posting it so it’s out there for those interested.

And if the study had been done in Hamburg on humans folks would still discount it.

So we're better off if we will wear hamster masks?

If someone wants to wear a mask, that's a personal choice.  If a business wishes to require a mask for entry, that should be up to the business.  I get to vote with my feet.

If a state government or the federal government pass a law, or uses an emergency declaration to require their use in public, that is not acceptable.  If they can require a mask, then what else can they require, "for the good of the public".

And while I don't think the "sky is falling", I do fear for my/our loss of personal freedoms if we stand by and allow this to happen.

I agree with this. As long as it's asked of me, I'll do it. Once it's demanded by law, that's a different story. I wear a mask in public because it's been asked of me, and it makes weak minded people feel safer, so be it..... Luckily government edict wise it's a suggestion only here in The Republic of Texas...

One good thing about the Wuhan Flu, it's stimulated the meme economy to new heights!

A few days ago we had this one:

which was quickly iterated to the new and improved version:
