Once again, it's crunch time! Crunched 3 bones in my right foot while failing to keep it upright while coming to a stop in a parking lot. It's just too top heavy for me... If I'd just gone with the bike, I'd have been fine, but I was meeting up with a local group and pride certainly went before the fall... they helped the bike and I up, walked around briefly considering doing the ride, but decided not to, rode home, backed the bike down the driveway into the garage, grabbed my walker from my fractured kneecap last fall, and drove myself to the hospital. Xrays showed 3 fractured right metatarsal bones (2-4) and a well healed 5th metatarsal from 2012.  Have an air boot, go back in 3 weeks for new xrays, ice and rest... Cancelled Inzane, not sure I could safely operate the foot brake even if I had the trike back. I'll be looking for another Majesty or something with a similarly low center of gravity and amount of power. Getting old does suck, but I still think it's the better alternative.... aaaaand no, I will not be taking up knitting any time soon, probably stab myself with the needles...

Sorry to hear the bad news.  Hope the ice helps and you heal fast.  I have been out of work recovering from total knee replacement.  Have been able to ride but find the 2014 Valkyrie much easier than the 97.

Thank you all! Tom, I ended up having a dental appointment in Newburyport the day you had your surgery, and by the time I got back, it was too late to drop in. Glad you are healing, and able to comparison ride! Oss, was looking forward to seeing you, no parades this year, and broken ribs and kneecap did in last year. I must be on a roll! Thanks, Matt, hope the scooter is still making you and your wife happy! Bernie, thank you, still hoping to get a picture of you and I on Ron's little bike, you know, for posterior posterity. Ron, who you callin' old, sonny? Never too old to suck a big one... Terry, I'll be collecting those hugs and kisses the next time we meet! Yes, that IS a threat... Tony, never had the same issue on the scooter, the Vultus needs a stronger/taller and obviously more agile owner. Am looking through the want ads. This group is the best thing that ever happened to me on a motorcycle/scooter. When I sit back and take stock,  glad I'm still here, and grateful to you all for always being able to put a smile on my face  smitten smitten smitten Evil Grin Cheesy cooldude uglystupid2

Scars heal
Glory fades
And all we're left with all the memories made
Oh yeah, pain hurts
But only for a minute
Life is short so go on and live it
'Cause the chicks dig it!
Sorry to hear about the stumble. Hopefully it heals well and fast.
By the way Kathy says knitting has nothing to do with age. Of course she said that while pulling the threads out of the sweater she just knitted for you.

Thanks, Gary, it IS a beautiful bike, but I am crumbling slowly! Rick, I am trying, but a unicycle is still out of the question. Paul! Honestly, there is not enough yarn in Central MA to knit me a complete sweater. Tell her to make socks for you instead, thanks for your thoughts. Pretty sure I won't be able to come and visit this time... Chris, thanks, this is nothing compared to what you went through, not breaking things, BREAKING ME!!!! DAMMITT! Thanks, Steve, you may be right. So happy to see your post about Stevie! Great news! And the young ones show he's going to get back in spades what he gave you! Got the trash cans back in today, my work here is done. Thank you all for the well wishes And keep Kathy in your prayers!  angel Evil Cool cooldude smitten

Karen, don't worry about visiting Kathy. They are not even letting me in. I drop her off on Friday and won't see her again, except video chatting, till she comes home. Maybe 5-10 days.
This is going to suck. They won't even let me stay in the lobby while she's in surgery.
