Since I no longer have a Valk to bragg about I'll bragg about my son Noah or Cowbell to you all.
Noah started high school last year 2 months after his Dad died (Old Skool ) so he had a hard school year and was glad when it was over. Noah is back on track and doing great in the 10th grade and I'm so proud of him. Noah is alot like Steve that when he makes up his mind and is focused there's no changing his mind. Noah had to meet with his counselor today to go over the next 3 yrs so that he will be on track for college. I never did that but school is alot different now. Noah wants to major in software engineering with a minor in Japanese so alot of his classes from now on are a focus on these areas. Noah wants to live in Japan because of the technology. I'm I in love with the idea of him living so far away? No, BUT at some point you have to let them go and have their own dreams. Noah has always been very mature for his age and can carry a conversation on any topic very easily, just ask Willow and the debate at InZane so I know he will do very well in his future endeavers. And I want to thank you all for taking him under your wing, Noah thanks highly of you all and is looking forward to the Whiskey Run so he can catch up with everyone.

There is a choice I would have never made in high school, and a choice I doubt I had available to me anyway. I think the only foreign languages my school offered were French and Spanish. Sounds like your son has a very specific focus which is refreshing. Best of luck.

Good read Rhonda. I wish I'd have been 1/10th that focused on my future when I was in high school. Always a pleasure to see you and Noah. I hope you two have a good holiday season.

It's good to hear you and Noah are doing fine....as for not having a Valk anymore, you have plenty at your disposal...anytime you guys need a ride I'm sure 100 bikes or more will be available from your VRCC family.....tell Noah to keep his voice tuned, he did such a great job MCing the Blue/Gray ride maybe we can talk him into working the Whiskey Run too... Ya'll have a Merry Christmas......Don and Tracy

That is awesome....I travel the world and see a lot of things, one thing i notice is, every other country is teaching their children English at a minium for secondary languages, here in the states we teach Spanish??? Why is that? Chinese (two languages) and Japanese and a European (not French) should be taught here.
I am glad your son is focused and you are supporting his decisions, like only a great mother can do.
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year

Mom, he doesn't want you cleaning & cooking for him. He is stubborn like Steve, he wants to do it himself. Besides, mom's ask too many embarrassing questions at times. Like a son had mom over for dinner with his girlfriend. They shared a house. After mom left they couldn't find a spatula. Girl was afraid his mom has taken it. so son sent her an email about the spatula. She responded back, you said you 2 never slept with each other, well if that is true you would have found the spatula the next day. End of story......... You may laugh now.......

Yea right... one week on his own and he will be running up the phone bill to talk to his cool hip mom. And crying like a dog for you to move in and cook dinner... and all the other things moms like to do for her kids. He's macho, but I doubt he's stupid.

I went to the nursing home today to visit his Great Grandfather who is 90 and when I got home he had wrapped my Christmas presents. I thank God everyday for blessing me with Noah. I see what other parents go thru with their teenage kids and Im so glad I don't have that. He called to check on me while I was there to make sure I got there and if I go somewhere I always try to be home before he gets home from school. He admitted to me he worried something would happen to me and it breaks my heart no child should have to worry about that.

Rhonda, What can the rest of us possibly brag about now? Did you have to come at us with the BEST all at once? Now shiny things just are not as shiny knowing what wonders you have been blessed with. You got bragging rights in the bag ! YOU ARE BLESSED ! !
