Big day tomorrow.

I'm writing a "heap-big-check"...

Well, big at least, when compared to the monthly cable bill or something LOL!

We're closing on this tomorrow...

Among other things...it is the new world-wide headquarters for Stormrider Press!

We are going to have to come down to see your house and store.  They look great.  We live in a 1895 Victorian home with a tower.  We bought it, moved it 350 miles, and restored it.

Go to:  http://northcedarcreek.com/

Go to  PHOTOS, and scroll thru to see the house.

Good Luck!

That's pretty cool Dan.

It's none of my bidness of course, but since you brought it up, curiosity compels questions.

Where is it?  What will you do with it?  (Stormrider press?)  (I believe you already have a work in progress with the Victorian, and I mean Work!   LOL)

It must be zoned commercial, but was the upstairs used/designed for business or residential?  And would zoning allow residential use, up and/or downstairs?

I hope to retire to a mountain dwelling, but I see that place and think..... I could open a (mostly retired) solo law office out of the front lower, have the whole upstairs for a residence (with room for a 10' pool table, hot tub and much more), or maybe put a tub deck and gazebo on the roof, and convert the back lower into a giant garage for Valks and everything else.  Is there a rear service entrance?    And no more landscape or lawn work, ever.

This does not constitute an offer.       hehehe

Good gravy! It's hard enough to just restore them...I can't imagine moving it 350 miles first LOL!

Nice place! Very well done!

It's in Clarksville...with our Old Vic. I'm hoping to have it up and running before my corporate job peters out. It's not in the nature of the current business enviornment that I can make it to retirement...so it's time to begin on MY plan.

It must be zoned commercial, but was the upstairs used/designed for business or residential?  And would zoning allow residential use, up and/or downstairs?

That's the beauty of small towns. The upstairs was at one time Doctor's offices. It is zoned...sort of. I can pretty much do anything I want with it. There may even be funds available to install housing (apartments or hotel/BB rooms upstairs). Even the town commission for historic stuff is advisory and has no real say (I AM going to follow their guidelines...it's essentially the exterior color/facade appearance they are concerned with, they are friendly folks and just want the town to prosper)

Yep, you could do that all in this one...there is not a rear entrance on the back, but one on the side.

This does not constitute an offer.       hehehe

Heh heh...not for sale anyway... Cheesy I've got PLANS...

That description lacks pizazz... excitement...  try this...

wow, how in the world do you do it?  Restoring old buildings takes a lot of HARD WORK...how do you motivate yourself?  I would love to tackle a job like that someday, maybe when I retire, just no time right now.

The deal is done. I's dotted, T's crossed. The Fat lady sung (sang?) (screamed?). We are now the proud owners of about 5,000 square feet of mixed use space on the historic downtown Clarksville square.

No idea how I'm gonna pull this off....
