I was interested in Moore for this movie goes against his usual narrative. Its actually a movie that reveals the falsity of energy conservation and the technologies available that fall short of the truth and the ability to supply our energy needs. He also talks about biofuels and the travesty of them.

You Tube removed the movie once but I found this and looked at parts of it but it just confirms what most already know, the graft, corruption and false narrative that any technology we now have will replace the normal fuels used now.

With the false predictions of fossil fuels and now the prices going through the floor its an interesting video.

I am surprised that he made this movie and at the truths revealed and thought some may enjoy it.

If for no other reason to say that any prediction that man has made from fossil fuel to the effects of Covid have been so far off and actions actually hurt society that we should be worried that those that know just dont know. Also showing Al Gore is invested heavily in ethanol and the lobbying of congress to keep it going.

At first glance I was about to say I couldn't be paid to listen to or watch anything he did.

Maybe he is finally figuring things out.

You took the words right out of my mouth and the only reason I posted it.  Cool

Moore finally put out something for the Green Movement to consider.

I wouldn't have watched anything Moore produced (did watch the whole thing), but read some reviews of it which changed my mine.   He basically lays out the fallacy of the renewable resource energy system.

If you get the time, watch it.   Though you may have problems finding it as the Climate Change folks are trying to have it banned.

This is . . . a very nice piece of work.

It will make many in the business of supposed "renewable energy" very nervous; it exposes those behind it for their true motivations.

This "piece" is a good read (but lengthy) on why renewables are not the answer.

Its entitled "There Roadmap To Nowhere".

The Myth of Powering the Nation With Renewable Energy by
Mike Conley and Tim Maloney, December 2017

I've watched the video a couple weeks ago, thought about posting about it but realized that most of the forum members wouldn't even watch it because of who produced the documentary (i.e. Michael Moore).

In a short abstract, it questions the energetic/economical efficiency of green energy and exposes the corruption of a few environmentalists being in bed with the fossil fuels industry.

The documentary also points that unless there is some major technological revolution, the only way to save the world and mankind is through population control (i.e. we consume 2 1/2 Earths resources a year, that is not sustainable).

There may be a few incorrect data in the movie, but it poses some serious questions on the current state of affairs in the environment movement. Those are legitimate questions, but needless to say, people don't want listen and managed to remove the video from youtube using a Copyright infrigement bs of some sort.

It is a point I've being talking with my friends for quite a while: the energy costs plus raw materials necessary for building a Tesla is enough to fill the gas tank of a big pickup truck for probably 20 or 30 years. Driving an electric car is cool, but it won't help to save the environment (the only local effect is less pollution on your city, but the energy still has to be produced somewhere).

I think Michael Moore was pretty courageous in making this movie, because now he will be hated by his old nemesis (right-wing media) and at same time got some new haters (left-wing media).

Two other guys wrote and directed it, but Moore is a backer...

I just watched it, I think it has a lot of good information  cooldude ...
it is the opinion of the two guys that made it that we're "destroying
the planet" with our "industrial civilization" (that feeds and enriches
millions  Roll Eyes ) but it sure does show a lot of the fallacies of
the "green" movement.

I enjoyed the part about biomass fuel = burning trees. The only trees
I saw being cut down in the film were 500 year old virgin rainforest trees.
The biomass trees come from planted forests that were planted by
farmers to be harvested and used for whatever purposes their buyers
wanted to use them for. Much of the Southern Pine in use today is
grown on old cotton fields (or other crops) and much of the rest of it
is what came up from numerous previous clear-cuts from the past
150 years.

The whole time I was watching it I was waiting for them to address
the real "green energy": nuclear. They never mentioned it I don't
think. I was imagining lots of new nuke plants running giant
desalination to solve all the clean water problems and generate
power...

It was hard to watch the whole cows being ground up for
"animal fat biomass" and the two monkeys in the last
tree in the forest they ended with was pretty manipulative...

Population control, as such is not an acceptable answer.  The main issue, besides the insanity of the idea, is who gets to decide.

As for energy, there are many ways to supply energy, cheaply and abundantly.  There are alternatives to fossil fuels for transportation but, they have always been swept into the dust bin.

But the real aim of the elite climate change activists has always been the ultimate control of the earth's resources, who gets what, when, and how.  And therefore who rules.

Agreed
Population control is against the bible and in direct alignment with one world government. Man has very limited understanding of life.

Gen 1:28  God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
Gen 1:29  Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;
Gen 1:30  and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food"; and it was so.

Well I just finished watching this and what I walk away with is, humans are bad, capitalism is bad and the end is nigh.

Yadda yadda yadda. Things are terrible and we’re destined to destroy ourselves, heard it many times over and over. The sky is falling yet again. According to the documentary we need to reduce the population, maybe the C19 is the answer. People certainly aren’t going to stop screwing and having children.

I’m not too concerned, I’m more concerned a huge volcanic event will happen or a giant meteor will be our down fall.
