Tom,

Those are the tank badges from an Interstate tank. I have a standard and recently put an IS tank on. Larger fuel capacity, fuel gauge capable and nicer badges. I felt it was a win, win, win situation!! lol  Smiley

You have the original badges from the Real Valk as opposed to the "maiden head' or "chick" badges that came on later, slower models.

Yes, that was the original tank badge, in the US. In Europe it read only,  "F6".

When Honda began production of the Interstate (sometimes referred to as the "Old Guy Valk") they redesigned the badge in order to promote a kinder, gentler Valkyrie, and counter the muscle bike image of the first couple of year models.

It must be true, I saw it somewhere on the Internet.
