Well, the Champiro is ready to be changed out with the Lion. The Champiro was an excellent tire  for me AA++, but I only got 9K miles on it. I could have run it for awhile yet, but no complaints here, and really want to try out the Lion. Wondering if anyone had tried the Leao Lion UHP 205/55R16 and if there were any problems,, like did it fit in the swingarm,, seems a bit wide.

That's actually one I was looking at and was a strong contender to replace the old Cooper I had... but I said screw and just put on Avons.

I'd like to see a photo once it has air in and is installed.

Well, I guess I'll be the first one to try it out. I did get it mounted and it does fit into the swingarm... Whew.

I polished out most of the scratches I put on the wheel when removing the Champiro while the wheel was off. Looking forward to trying this tire out, specs are good, speed rated W for 168 mph, treadwear traction and heat resistance are 400/A/A. I'll see how it handles in a day or two as I found a shot lower shock bushing and had to have Rich get me a set in the mail. Gives me a bit of time to do the maintenance and get everything cleaned up as I haven't seen any of this stuff for 9K miles.

Everything looks good here, I'll change the 90wt, clean everything up and give the final drive case a fresh coat of flat black.

The flange looks as good as the day HubcapSC sent it to me in early 2013, some new O-rings and moly paste and it will be good to go. No problems here,,,, common shock bushings

I'll get a picture and give an update once it is all together Britman.

I finished all the maintenance, added some horns, did shock bushings and other misalliance stuff and went for a hundred mile run this morning to test out the tire. Took off with 38 lbs pressure in the tire and the first thing I noticed was how much more stable it felt when leaned over...  of course the Champiro was worn out so not sure if that means anything. The ride felt really good but too hard as I could feel every flaw in the road, so after awhile I pulled over and lowered the pressure to 33. I left it there for the rest of the ride, no use looking for anything else. The tire feels great and just seems smoother in the curves than the Champiro ever did. I am happy with the tire as I think this is the best car tire yet for me. I look forward to many enjoyable miles this summer.

Seems to have a bit more clearance to the swingarm than previous tires.

This tire is a 205/55R16, but somehow it doesn't seem as wide as previous tires..?? All I know is that it works very well and right now I thinking this will be my go to tire for as long as they make them.
