Yeah saw this yesterday. So a movie from 1940 that is considered one of the best ever is now bad. I have watched this movie over a dozen times and have never considered anything in it racist or demeaning.

I’ve watched many discussions regarding the film and the attempt at accuracy of the times and keeping to the novel which was published in 1936, I had to look that up. The author started writing it in 1926.

The movie was filmed 64 years after the end of the civil war. Think about that. Wounds still fresh in the minds of many. We are now 80 years since the release of that movie.

The is like the Kate Smith issue with God Bless America being played at venues across the country.

It's not so much the movie as the time itself that the revisionists want to erase.  Apparently everything in our world was evil and unacceptable until the forming of the Black Lives Matter.  Actually even that isn't good enough.  They will still find evil things around them until they have been put in control.

There are none more racist than those who identify every victim and every perpetrator as either black or white (even white Latinos).

If we don't want our nations history and heritage to be wiped out - we need to stay on guard to not let it happen. There's room enough to recognize the past and not belittle other races at the same time.

I don't agree with banning the film at all.

But Gone with the Wind is purely a women's soap opera of a film (and book), and I never liked it.  

Scarlett O'Hara was spoiled rotten child who needed a sound spanking (in every scene), and Gable should not have spared the rod.  

We went to see it in an elegant Detroit theater in HS as a field trip.  

Now John Wayne's The Horse Soldiers is a great film.

So, HBO MAX is a very new streaming service, one of many that operate under the HBO name.  It has pulled the movie temporarily while it drafts a disclaimer for it. ("This movie is a dramatization of American life in the 1860's...) Nothing was banned or even permanently removed.  This is one small streaming service which has every right to moderate it's own content.  Take it easy guys, you're making it seem like Hillary Clinton is at your house rifling through your DVD's.

This is typical Marxist ideology. If you studied the subject you would know why is going the way it is. It's all done by design, and in accordance  with the communist doctrine. No surprise at all. The people without a country have amassed a lot more than what is considered a fortune, and now they're flexing their paranoid muscle, making fools out of us, the "little" people, in the process. We're too many anyway!
They have been kicked out of different European countries over 140 times over the same tactics. When everything is said and done they'll be kicked out again, this time from our country, and I hope it will be for good. The ones that will be allowed to stay will spend a long time behind bars for being traitors to this great nation of ours, along with the ones that have facilitated their despicable actions.
