I can't do any planning ahead right now, but was figuring, if I had chance to get up there last minute for a night or 2, I'd like to ride up to Asheville and hang out. Would there be rooms available??

I don't really know if there will be rooms available.  Right now the hotel is limited to 50% occupancy.  If that changes, they will likely have rooms available; however, the VRCC discounted rate will only be available if you register on or before June 16.
