I am pleased to announce the following appeared in the local Crawfordsville paper today.  I would like to thank all that participated and donated for the charity, especially One Armed Bandit that donated his 50-50 winnings back into the hat!  Great job folks!

Dr. James E. Morse presents Sandy Lofland-Brown with a check for $1,100.00 to the Montgomery County Child Abuse Prevention Council.

The donation was made by the motorcycle participants of the 2009 Covered Bridge Ride.  The money came from donations, raffle ticket sales, and auctions.  The motor cycling enthusiasts numbered 150 participants and represented 15 different states and countries during the annual event held each September in Crawfordsville.  The ride-in features a tour to Parke County's prominent covered bridges and other points of interest.

The motorcycle participants of the Valkyrie Riders Cruiser Club have held the ride for ten years and the event has grown to include riders of a wide range of motorcycle brands.  The Montgomery County Child Abuse Prevention Council has been the recipient of their donation for the past several years.

Doc, it was just the right thing to do for a worthy cause.  No thanks necessary.  Great job on the covered ride by the way.  Hope to make it back in 2010.
