I was trying to get a few ideas to customize 98 tourer. What are some good places to shop, other than e-bay. Don't know what I am looking for yet, but will know it when I see it! Also, any members in the greater New Orleans area that have drilled their or had their rear baffles drilled? if so, where did you go? If you have the tools to diy, I would appreciate the help!

Hi there,
For factory parts hdlparts.com have proven a good source for me; better then others for sure. After market bits are all over the board. I am confident you will get great suggestions here. This is a very good board. I'm still fairly new here, but these folks are a fabulous resource.
Good luck with your new toy, send pictures, we all like pictures!
Best regards,
Glenn

I am not in that area, however, i went to my garage to drill the baffles, you have to get 1/2" or 5/8" drill bit, the longest bit extender you can find and drill straight in. I believe i had to pass through 2 sections.

Shop around on line for parts.... prices vary and sometimes considerably. DLP does price match guarantee, and 5% or $5 difference I believe (whichever is less). My local dealer also price matches DLP.... You should also check your local dealerships.... oddly enough they may have some Valk stuff sitting around and it's priced right or on clearance at times (at least around here I have seen that). Classified here on the VRCC or VOAI are a good resource as well, in addition to EBay I guess.

I'm a little north of you around McComb, Ms. Just a little over a hr away. I ride with a bunch from around the Hammond area also. We are always getting together. I have a shop at my house that I help guys with their problems. Been around the Valk for awhile now and to me the best bike out there. I'm offshore at present and will be going home Christmas day for 21 days. I read the board just about every day so if you need help give me a shout. David {Warlock}

Forgot to mention I have two Valks. One with glasspacks and one has the Ragnar cut. So you can listen to both. David
