I've got DishNetwork and like it...except the "paying for it" part. In fact, I just re-upped for another 2 years in return for upgraded equipment which adds a 4th box, one with HD. If I ever cancelled it, my kids would lynch me for taking away their Nickelodeon.

I had dishnetwork when I 1st got married. Really didn't like there service. I do miss spoongebob tho!

When I first moved back here, I signed up with DirecTV and was happy with them until I got married and wanted to add more TV boxes. They wanted something like $50 per box plus a service charge because they had to send someone out to install them. So I dropped them and went with DishNetwork and took advantage of their deal to install up to 4 boxes for free with a new subscription. That was about 7 years ago.
My parents had problems with the DishNetwork HD service...otherwise it was OK. They got a new big flat screen LCD TV and signed up for the HD channels. But they weren't getting all of the HD channels. So they called and complained...but they got nowhere. Finally, they said that their dish needed re-aimed and would gladly send someone out if they paid the service charge of around $75. They told them to go f%@k themselves and switched to DirecTV. Now they are happy. Of the 2, I prefer the DishNetwork, but that is probably because I am used to their system and channel order. I do not have their HD service...and even though I am getting an HD box, I told them that I am not interested in subscribing to their HD service because of the problems my parents had. They said OK, but were going to give me HD equipment in case I ever decided to upgrade to a HD service package. Plus, I'll be able to receive the local HD channels for free. I've been pretty lucky with their service. Every time I have had a problem with the box, I call them and they send me a new one...no questions. I just return the old one in the same box with their pre-paid postage lable. The only problem was that one time, I went through 2 or 3 boxes before I got a good one...that was a little frustrating. And it has to be pretty bad outside before I lose the satellite signal. I even signed up for their satellite internet through Wild Blue. It's ok...much faster than dial-up, but not anywhere near as fast as what we have here at work. So far, it has also been fairly reliable. It is a little expensive...but much less frustrating than dial-up.
Now, all that being said, if I could get cable and DLS/FIOS, I would. But I can't so I am stuck with either DishNetwork or DirecTV and satellite internet.
