democrats told us everything will be alright, fraud will not happen.

https://www.judicialwatch.org/investigative-bulletin/mail-in-ballot-fraud-in-new-jersey-signals-national-trouble/

The charges surround city council elections in Paterson—Democratic Party turf and New Jersey’s third largest city, with a $287 million municipal budget. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, like his counterpart in California, issued an executive order authorizing a vote entirely by mail-in ballots. Mark Hemingway of Real Clear Politics reports that problems quickly surfaced after election day. Bundles of ballots appeared in neighborhood mailboxes, raising the suspicions of U.S. Postal Service inspectors. Over 2,300 ballots were disqualified when the signatures appeared to not match voting records. Piles of mail-in ballots were left on the lobby floors of apartment buildings. Reporters tracked down citizens who were listed as having voted but insisted they never even received a ballot. Nearly 20% of the 16,000 ballots were disqualified.

In another state I could tell you of the cat was dead for 14 years being mailed a ballot.

If nothing else, at least they were checking signatures.

Sounds like they need to update their voter files, but that would require voters to maybe reregister.    Cant' have that. tickedoff

I won't call it fraud just yet, but the really F'ed here in NY.

Cuomo sent out mail-in ballots to anyone who wanted one and made them all postage pre-paid.  By making the postage pre-paid, thousands of them don't have the "meter stamp" I believe it's called so it's impossible to tell if thousands of ballots were received on time.   Angry

Aaaaaaand, they're still counting ballots a month later.

When I;lived in Illinois they needed to see an I D for alcohol purchase. When I lived in Texas they wanted to see an I D for a credit card purchase. When I lived in Colorado they needed to see an I D when I rented a house. Living here in Missouri when ever I purchase a hand gun they need to see an I D Even though the owners Know me. And When ever I vote here in Missouri they need to see my Current Voters I D card. And ya wanna know something? NEVER Once have I had a problem with showing my I D. Far as mail in ballots go I believe a need should be Proven for such and a registration number attached to each individual ballot and rechecked to make cursed SURE the right person used That ballot and used Only ONCE. Voter fraud Do and Will continue to happen unless the laws are tightened up and upheld. Kinda simple actually when ya stop and ponder it a bit. RIDE SAFE.

Actually - in most of the USA, mail in ballot fraud is almost non-existent. I can believe that some places with an entrenched political machine might attempt it - which is why they should take active measures to prevent it (such as having them go to the election office and get a registration number and request form,  then that request with the valid registration number needs to be mailed in seperately) . Only then do you receive your ballot for doing mailin voting.

Last October I moved my Mom from another city over the hill from here.   I went thru hell getting things like SS and Dad's pension moved to this address.   The easiest thing to get move was Mom Voting .  registration.  Did it on line, but had to know all the vitals, such as full name, SS #, date of birth, etc.   When you get registered here, your have to have some from of ID, and all the vitals, plus a mailing address..

I know in the "hurry up mail in voting" in some places there will be some fraud.  As far as postage free, shouldn't be a problem if they say you have the ballot in the mail  X number of days before the voting day.   At least that is what happens here, so not date stamp on the mail ballot is needed.   There is also a drop boxes (think mail boxes) around the city to drop off the ballot is you miss the mail in date, or like me , prefer to drop it off instead of putting in my mail box.

https://www.nj.com/opinion/2020/09/i-wont-lie-i-didnt-ask-for-a-mail-in-ballot-no-matter-what-the-guv-says-mulshine.html

“ “A person may be fined and imprisoned and may also lose the right to vote until restored by law if that person … certifies falsely any information.”

So far so good. We all want to crack down on vote fraud.

But among the statements DeFoe has to sign to get his ballot accepted was an affirmation “that I am the person who applied for enclosed ballot.””

“ “I did NOT apply for the enclosed ballot!” Defoe wrote. “The Governor sent it to me!”

Me, too. I checked the ballots I had just received in Ocean County. Sure enough, it also commanded me to sign that statement if I wanted my ballot counted.

I would never sign such a statement for the simple reason that I would never willingly vote by mail, let alone lie about it.“

As of yesterday we still have not received our ballots. Still waiting.

I think I mentioned this before. A friend has received 3. He always votes in person.

I saw only a part of the newscast, but, it was talking about over 1000 arrests have been made recently  regarding voter fraud.

Got a text message from a gal wanting me to vote for a candidate.  Not sure who the candidate was since it was for a person running for office in WY.   I haven't lived in WY since 2003 and didn't have my cell phone or its number at that time.   Not sure how she got my cell number.   tickedoff

I've been getting texts reminding me to be sure to register and vote from Pennsylvania.  Only problem is I haven't lived in PA since 2006.

I haven't been getting ballots, but the forms to request one. Again - I'm going to vote in person (ideally at an early voting place).

However you vote on candidates, make sure you go and vote against all ridiculous local G bond issues.

They go hugely in debt, then are so sorry your taxes have to be raised (again, and again).

My 4 bond issues are over a billion (for one county).   crazy2
