Our group raised $5100 for Veteran's Restoration Quarters!
For our reduced attendance this year that is amazing.  Thank you all who participated in person or online.  Tim, the charity official that attended Thursday night was blown away by your generosity at the 'pass the hat.'  He told me Justin texted him from the pie auction, "OMG, they just sold a pie for $660."

Great work everyone.

Nice job organizers. You do this great work year after year, and like the little bunny, keep on going. Keep it up!

That’s really heart warming news. I didn’t know about any online participation, I’ll pay better attention next time.

Registration won't open until January.  However, the dates and city will be announced well before that.

I know we have given quite a few dollars to different charities.
But the one we gave to this year was near and dear to a lot of us.
those that served our country deserve better than to end up on
our streets with nothing and most of all no hope of anything better.
Most of these vets are the people on the street that almost everybody
turns their eyes and move on.
I have to admit before becoming part of a church I too would have
turned my eyes, but now that I have a different way of life and always do
what I can this  charity stuck home when I think of my father and other relatives
that severed through such hard times and places.
A truly great choice this year.
May our few dollars bring better to someone's life.

Speaking of locations.... Roll Eyes

Asheland was a superb place, and given that many of our group didn't get to attend, perhaps we could do it again next year like we did with some other places in the past.
I'd be up for a return trip!  cooldude

Ashe who, now?  Wink ... I think the Johnson City side of the hill there
beats out the Ashe-place's side...
