So nice of Willow to get me going on the board, thanks again for all you do!

Thought I had better write a "hello" post before I dive into the 1500 Val forum.  I am a long time metric wrentcher, been working on motorcycles for many yrs.  I normally do the Yam XJ bikes because there are so many of them out there, they are easy and cheap to find.

Last yr I came across a 96 BMW R1100GS, that was in really bad shape.  I got her running and removed 45 lbs of her back.  That was a okay second bike to have (my daily is a 07 Bandit 1250S). But then I started to look for a cruiser bike, so this summer I sold the BMW and rolled that money into a 97 Val.

I was really torn over getting a VTX 1800 and the Val, but after riding both of them, hands down the Val!
Just wanted to say Hi to all and hope to be able to get some info, suggestions and maybe even help others if and when I can.

Welcome. Congrats on getting a Valkyrie. As we say, pictures or it didn’t happen. And just because you’re new. Don’t take it personal but we don’t abbreviate Valkyrie to Val. Valk is acceptable or just spell out Valkyrie.

Create a new gallery by clicking on the box towards the top left

Upload photos. Do a max of 4 at a time or it can take too long.

Once uploaded put your cursor on the image you want to put on the VRCC forum

Click on it
Now copy the "Hotlink" for forums.

Now go to the VRCC post you want the photo to appear in and right click and paste.

Once you then post your comment the photo should appear for all to see.

Mine is by no means as nice as any of those pics.  I did pick it up for just over $2K, but she needed a lot of TLC.  I started a thread on the 1500 board.
