This sounds like a good response, Dawn dish soap is some great stuff. The only thing I would add is lots of rinsing and keep it out of the sun if possible. After washing if you let it dry in the shade or garage.

What is the car, they have different fluids. But I would try some Shout as a general rule.

If there is not to much you could just wipe it off.

The Mercedes and BMW stuff is a bear to take off but usually does not stain and can be wiped off the cloth tops, at least enough to let the rain do the rest. Dont underestimate a good car wash soap either they do tend to take out oil a bit better than most and usually will not hurt the material.

Check with a Marina, they have a lot of good experience with canvas.

And when you figure it out, post it here, I might need it one day on my own convertible.

I used Dawn and the stain is still there. Next will try upholstery cleaner and shop vac.
Went on youtube to see how to replace cylinders and looks to be a real PITA.
