The storm hit southwest Va. yesterday about 1 and hasn't stopped yet....before the storm hit LadyDraco decided to take her trike out and ride to Bluefeild to do some shopping, needless to say she didn't make it back in time....by the time she got to our driveway it had about 3-4 inches of snow on it.....she got about 1/4 of the way up and spun out and got sideways on the mountain, I was just coming down on a 4 wheeler when it happen, we tried getting her going and she got about 100 feet and slid back down the mountain...sideways.. Cheesy finally we hooked the 4 wheel winch to her engine guard and pulled her to the top and she was able to ride it the rest of the way to the garage cooldude

This is the view from the top of the driveway looking down towards the main road....from here is about another 1/8 of a mile to the garage...uphill... Smiley

but she make it...with a big smile on her face and another adventure is complete cooldude

all the fender wells were packed in snow....she had the tires smoking coming up the mountain....

Looks like we'll be snowed in for awhile here on the farm...it took almost 2 hours to get the 4 wheeler to the barn where we keep the hay in order to feed the stock...we can hardly move around once we get off the driveway area.....we have plenty of food and firewood....sooner or later it will melt Kiss until then Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. Smiley

After she got to the top I plowed the driveway from our top gate to the garage, by then there was about 8 inches of snow on it and it took about 4 hrs to clear it after the first day total of 18 inches had fallen...

Don,

I feel your pain.  We had 2 feet in Bluemont, VA also.  Took about 5 hours Sunday to clean with a 8 horse MTV snow blower that was indeed challenged.  VA does deliver a packed wet snow.

Cheers,
Dan

Wow!!  You guys are really getting hit out there.... Tracy, you go girl.... takin' yer bike out just before a snowstorm...

But a set of  Firestone "Blizzak" tires on the trike and 200 pounds in the trunk and you could plow snow.

Good luck cleaning up all the snow...  it looks like we got a break this time in the "great white north"...

Have a Merry  Christmas and keep extra wood by the fireplace...

Before the snows hit these little guys started hanging around  Grin they would follow us around the yard and turn up down at the feeding areas......couldn't resist feeding them, al being wild I don't try to handle them....Lamount has a bunch that hangs around him, so I figured what the heck....so now when I'm a Sam's Club I pick a box of biscuits up for them......I wonder where they go in weather like this, I hav'nt seen them since the storm hit....

As long as they don't get into anything they can stay.....

I wonder if these are any relatives of Bandits???? Grin
