One more turn should do it!

Kent, Ohio

« on: August 02, 2020, 05:25:52 AM »

This is what I woke up to Friday morning.  :'(
Oddly enough, I think I heard it happen about 4am. Actually seen it, around 7am or so.
Fortunately only damage is throttle side mirror.  Smiley
No idea what happened!

Undecided Yeah I bet that put a sinking feeling in your stomach!  Glad it wasn't worse.

Wow I got a singing heart feeling just seeing the photo. Happy that damages was minimum though.

Ghosts in the garage, not a good thing to have.

Hope she started right up and no issues after 3 hours on her side.

CRAP Shocked

Looks like that plywood saved the day.

Did the lift fail?

From one picture it looks like your front tire lost some air pressure and it will then roll out of the chock. ( How do I know ? ) I always use a center stand or scissor jack after my tip over.

Tie down straps are your friend when she's on the lift. Surely not what you want to see.

Ouch, hate to see that but glad the damage wasn't even greater...

Surely not what you want to see.

I agree, but.....

Lift was not elevated. Ever since I put those side extensions on, I've been parking on it. Stabilizers were down as well. No, it was not strapped/tied down. I did not check front tire pressure, yet.
Have not tried to start it. Figured I should probably pull the plugs, just in case.

Hurts just looking at it.

You said the lift wasn't raised? and it's level? then how in heck could it tip over from the side stand.

Ghosts in the garage. Someone took it out for a ride and didn't put her away properly.

Those mirrors are identical, they are interchangeable and a lot of Honda use them (Shadows and others).

That really stinks and like others have said, it hurts to look at it. I am glad though that its not badly hurt.

It appears the side stand was up but that wasnt part of it because it fell away from the side satnd. Looks as if he just had it in the wheel chock.

You mean upright, not on the side stand, in the wheel chock? Not tied down? Not likely something to be repeated.

Good to know.

Entire quote is correct. Normally I park the bike on a sheet of plywood with same type of wheel chock. Have been parking it that way for years. This season I decided to build some extension for the lift table. Safer and easier to use now. Been using it to park on instead of the plywood set up.
