A few years ago I suffered a series of painful injuries.  Without going through gory details I am left with permanent recurring lower back pain and elbow and shoulder pain.  Its not horrible just irritating.

For the pack pain I bought an inversion table, since it was a compression injury hanging upside down relieves the pain for weeks.

Now I have discovered a similar fix for my shoulder and elbow. The elbow and shoulder have been irritated the last couple weeks. Yesterday we did our Saturday breakfast ride with a short 50 miler afterward.  Me and Farside and two other bikes.  We had fun and I had some extra fun twisting the grip to change positions in the formation.  Anyway I went out for a ride today and had some more fun with acceleration a bit harder than normal.

The Valkyrie can fool you for days it can be a docile cruiser around town then with no warning you twist that grip and your arms get pulled out of the socket.  Well that's exactly what my therapeutic experience was this weekend.  My '97 pulls so hard that it stretched out those old injuries and the pain is gone for now.  Hoorahh

That's my story and I'm sticking to it

Jeff,

Valkyrie riding as therapy... I couldn't agree more! Our girl certainly has helped with all that ails me...

Ya Bruce. I always said it was “therapy”. I’m old enough now I can drop the quotation marks  Undecided

Said he'd always liked the Valkyries but never owned one. Directed him to our board. Jeff-glad it helped yer arms!  Roll Eyes I didn't really notice my hip complinin til I was sitting there with a bucket of fish and chicken and a Cold heiny!  Cheesy As I stated in my ride post-been too cursed hot to ride here ever since I got back from illinois. RIDE SAFE.

I've been thinking of the same thing, inversion, instead of chiro or massage for a while now. My pain is lower back, shoulders, and migraine.

Did you get the one on TV and how often do you use it?

I searched on amazon until I found the best I could. It has air soft boots so you can make them real tight comfortably. It also a pin to adjust the angle from fully inverted to like 20 degrees. Brand name is Exerpeutic

I use it maybe once every month sometimes every other month

how hard is it to flip the inversion table back upright?  I would hate to flip me upside down and not be able to get back up... Grin

I heard those tables can do wonders.  My mom's grandma used one in her age 60s, 70s and 80s but not as fancy to relieve spinal back pain.    I vaguely remember her saying it helped.

NOthing worse than nagging pain that does not go away is constant and annoying.  my right inside knee for over 1 year now is annoying me pretty sure is not miniscus tear like my left knee was some 12 years ago needing surgery since no sharp pains on certain movements, but right knee is not bendable like before guessing torn tendons that is not healing limits my flexibility and walk sorta gimpy at times.  Probably build up of arthritis in there as well am sure.

It’s adjustable for your height. Once you get it right it’s perfectly balanced. Just by raising or lowering your arms you make it go down and up almost automatically. Very easy you don’t need help to get it back upright.
