      Passed on at 85 years on this orb. Enjoyed most everything he did in film work. Had a small but crucial roll in Absence of Malice and liked his part in it. R I P. RIDE SAFE.

I liked him and the boys in Cocoon, and The Thing. Like they mentioned, the grand fatherly kind of actor. Also Quaker Oats commercial.

And that voice! You knew who was speaking as soon as he spoke. I liked his narration of "Last Of The Dogmen" and the scenery of the movie makes me long for a ride to the great Northwest.
