I am in the middle of cleaning my valk down to the bone. my question is how do i get the non-painted stuff back to a brilliant look.

If you are talking about the inner fairings, pod pieces, trunk speaker housings, and the radio switch housing...I use Mother's Back to Black.  You can pick it up at most auto parts stores.

I been happy with Armor-all type products. I have something by Black Magic I bought years ago. Its a silicone type oil/cleaner. I use it on all the plastic inside the engine compartment of my truck. It cleans it and shines it up all nice. Last awhile inside there. Should work for you. Its slippery when it gets on your hands.
