I'm tired of the multiple heat waves we've been having. Since we're nearly into mid-August, hopefully this will be the last one of the summer. Cool

Tony:
I fired off another email to customer service @ Rider Magazine last night. This is the 3rd one I've sent and all I get is wishy, washy, beating around the bush responses. I asked if they intended to resume publication or go completely digital, in which case I will lose a year of my subscription because those links don't work for me(and I don't like reading books on a screen anyway).
I also suggested again that the Editor in Chief should send out a letter to all subscribers informing us what is going on and what to expect. This whole thing has been very poorly handled.

I got the June and July issues in the mail 2 weeks ago. Have not got the August issue yet. I already read all three issues on line. Not sure why you're not getting the print issues.  Sucks.

As luck would have it, after my complaining, I got the June and July issues in today's mail. Now to sit down and do some reading.

I have never liked Summer, and this one has not changed my mind.  Way too hot and buggy (not just muggy but too many bugs) for me.
Lump a hot summer with this virus and now storm damage and I have had about enough. Of course me being fed up can't change any thing so I will just suck it up and continue until cooler weather comes along.

I have had to cancel 3 motorcycle trips so far this year, but come hell or high water I will be on my Wing headed to South Carolina on the 23rd to see my newest granddaughter. The Dr says the stork should be flying in tomorrow. That will make 4 grandchildren,, all girls.

I have been called many things in my life, but Grandpa sure is my favorite !!!

Congratulations Dan!

I like the long days of summer and we like to go to the beach. Probably will have gotten to the beach 6 or 7 times before summer is over. We don't mind temps in the mid-80s, but this mid to high 90s stuff just sucks. Hard to do anything outside in the afternoon, unless it involves a pool, lake, pond or ocean.

Oh well, nothing we can do about it, except complain.   Wink

No hurricanes to speak of, no tornadoes to speak of, no huge waves eating the coast away....
No rain to keep anyone from riding, no rain means grass doesn't grow very well... no mowing the lawns..

Setting here enjoying the air conditioned house....

Rain may not be keeping us from riding but the high temps and humidity are. I hate sitting in the house (even if it's air conditioned) on a sunny summer day. Growing up in New England it just seems wrong. I guess I could leave the house at 6:30 AM for a ride and if I get back before 10, it wouldn't be too bad. May have to give that a try.  ???

We have had a few days where it's not worth being outside...

Been to Houston in the summer on business. No thanks.  Cool

My parents lived in Ft. Worth for about 4 years. As New Englanders they had to adjust to spending the summer inside. Even their pool got too hot to swim in.   uglystupid2

The kids are inlanders... Thanks for the offer, I'll be in Rock Hill SC  just below Charlotte.  I will make a quick pass through Deals Gap and maybe even get asome time on the Blue Ridge before rushing back to work.
