That's a lot of stuff for a low price. OEM would be a lot more. For $95 you could get the known-to-be-good red-eye kit. https://redeye.ecrater.com/p/2063876/carburetor-gasket-kit-viton-gfYou'd still want bowl gaskets, he's got them. If you can clean them, your old jets would probably be good. OEM jets cost a lot, you hear negative remarks a lot from people who use other aftermarket jets sometimes... To me, removing/rebuilding/replacing the carburetors would be the biggest part of the cost, and the part I most wouldn't want to do over... -Mike

That makes sense, I definately dont want to do this again anytime soon. So far I've spent more time working on this bike than riding it lol On the plus side, I'm actually beginning to enjoy working on it and I'm starting to have a good time learning all the little goods and bads that come along with it. This forum has been a blessing.

None of those parts are wear parts so you'd be replacing parts that don't need replacing.
Cleaning the orifices and passages in the carburetor are and should be the main objective.
And, a good regime of additive treatment should always be the first move.
Not to forget to mention that a comprehensive inspection should be the first course of action.
Preventive maintenance is the name of the game, "rebuild" is a misnomer and the refuge of the rookie.

that is a lot of stuff for dirt cheap. Made me think back to how proud I was about saving $300 on an alternator from Amazon a few years back. The first year, the drive nut came loose. The third year the bearings destructed on the way to Roanoke. (Don't even think about it, take Mike's advice)

I have no idea of the quality of the AUTOKAY parts. But in general, I always try to remember: Often attributed to Ben Franklin, but then so are a lot of other quotes.

Google shows the trademark being owned by a Chinese company. I would and have gone with RedEye and K&L. Redeye offers good known quality orings etc., test kit to prove the bowl seals things like that. I have seen people say the springs on the float valves from K&L are higher force than stock whether this is true or not I do not know. The float needles are common to several 250CC bike carbs. Someone had posted a link to a 6 needle kit that was spec's for some of the 900CC bikes. Here's a link https://www.klsupply.com/images/keihin-shop-float-needle-kit_App.pdf

There was a sign at my father's shop... "Marshall" in big nice scrolley neon, and then hand lettering past that: "... signs are made to last long after the price has been forgotten"
I still have the "Marshall"...

one experts view on float valves, dated 2015. I don't know if this still holds true today for replacement. https://www.randakksblog.com/more-problems-with-aftermarket-float-valves/

So I always check amazon first because of my prime membership and lets face it, its just easy. I came across this kit and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it? It seems to have everything I would need but again I"m new to valkyries. I recently purchased a $60 complete carb rebuild kit from Ebay and found out that practically nothing was correct. About the only things I was able to use were the pilot screw washers and o-rings. All the jets were wrong size (main 130, Slow 42), needles wrong size, seals either to big or small or wrong thickness. Sometimes it's just not worth the hassle to save a few bucks. If you do go that route I'd suggest you ask them what size jets it comes with at the very least. Best of luck

Does the neon still work ? Might look pretty good on the front of the new shed.

The neon sign has this scary 60 year old electrical igniter box that has kept me from even trying to turn it on... for some reason he made this sign, maybe testing out a new router? Ida know... anywho... I plan to put this on the front of the shed: Who knows where he got the idea? -Mike

I have used the kit from allballs and so far no problems. $99 from Honda dealer. Bikes been running great for the past 6 months now. Came with everything in picture you showed. I bought it for the tourer but after rebuilding interstate carbs I still didn’t have the power I should. So pulled apart again and used the kit. Carbs looked great to start but the kit got it right. Now I need to get another one for the tourer.

Plug it in Mike, worst it can do is pop a breaker,,, maybe release some noxious fumes. (i'd do it outside) After all
