https://www.nj.com/coronavirus/2020/08/november-election-in-nj-to-be-mostly-mail-in-murphy-will-announce.html

That means all of the state’s 6.2 million registered voters will be sent ballots to vote by mail in the Nov. 3 elections, according to two sources with knowledge of the situation who requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak publicly about the matter.

There will also be a select number of local polling places across the state for people who choose to vote in person, the sources said.

The hybrid setup will be the same as the state’s July primary elections, which were delayed a month and conducted mostly mail-in to help protect against COVID-19. Murphy also delayed a number of local elections earlier in the year and made those races vote-by-mail only.

November’s elections, however, will be a larger undertaking and have more at stake. Not only is the Trump-Biden race topping the ticket, but U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., is running for re-election against Republican Rik Mehta and all 12 of New Jersey’s U.S. House seats are on the ballot. There will also be local races.

Murphy is expected to have more details Friday afternoon at his next coronavirus briefing in Trenton.

In the primary, there was “in person” voting bit all it was was to declare yourself, you got either a Republican or Democrat ballot and could go to a small desk and make your selections. There was a questionnaire to fill out regarding citizenship and a question about why you were voting by mail in ballot and not a single answer choice that was listed was a correct answer. So were our votes counted because my wife and I both left that question unanswered. None of the election attendants knew the correct answer when we asked.

This is Lunacy
The people who thought this up should be strung up for Treason
SCOTUS will have to decide in November that we need a re election at this rate as the number of votes case will exceed the number of registered voters by a large margin

If you can go to the store to buy toilet paper beer and cigarettes you can get off your fat a$$ and vote
or get an absentee ballot

It isn't lunacy. It is brilliance.

The point of mail in ballots isn't to make voting easier. It is to intentionally degrade the integrity of the State's voting system to make it unusable and undependable in using it to choose the State's electors.

The Constitution simply states that the States shall choose their electors. Doesn't say how.

Between the mail in ballots being lost, delayed, destroyed or simply not counted AND the violence that is sure to compromise the ballot box at the precinct level, States will have to find a different way to choose their electors before the deadline.

When the various States get to "Day 30" of the Election as they try to locate millions of ballots, it will hit the fan and thus....

Probably a vote in their respective State Houses to choose their Presidential Electors.

Trump can't beat that.

A court can't deem it Unconstitutional. The Constitution says the "State shall choose..." and they did.

This is going to get way more bad before it can get better.
Hope the good guys win.

If you have time, here’s a few minutes with Glenn Beck on the issue.

The point is moot. Unfortunately New Jersey is a blue state anyway. It’s electors will be Democrat’s.

HC won N.J. by about 500K votes but looking at the county voting map of 2016 there’s a ton of Trump supporters throughout the state.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_United_States_presidential_election_in_New_Jersey

I’m not saying he could win N.J. but I know there’s a ton of pissed off business owners throughout the state who are sick and tired of Gov. Murphy, Gov.Cuomo of NY and Mayor Deblasio of NYC. Could N.J. be flipped, it would be a tight race in a normal voting setting, who and how these mail in ballots are handled will be questioned.

Counting should be done in a public setting. Not behind closed doors.

City councilman among 4 facing voter fraud charges in New Jersey

1 in 5 Ballots Rejected as Fraud Is Charged in N.J. Mail-In Election
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2020/06/26/1_in_5_ballots_rejected_as_fraud_is_charged_in_nj_mail-in_election_143551.html

A printing error led to hundreds of Republicans registered in Somerset County accidentally getting mail-in ballots for Democratic candidates.

New Jersey’s primary election was delayed to July 7 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The state and Gov. Phil Murphy have mailed millions of absentee ballots to all Republicans and Democrats in the state and are encouraging everyone to vote by mail.

Mail-in ballots “may have been destroyed” in postal truck fire in New Jersey. Well that’s convenient. (Op-ed)

https://www.nj.com/politics/2020/08/us-postal-service-says-it-cant-guarantee-all-nj-mail-in-ballots-will-be-delivered-on-time.html

“ The U.S. Postal Service has told New Jersey it can’t guarantee all mail-in ballots will be delivered in time to be counted in November, according to a letter obtained Friday by NJ Advance Media.“

“The state received the warning as it prepares to dramatically ramp up mail-in voting amid the coronavirus pandemic. Gov. Phil Murphy said Friday that all 6.2 million registered voters in the Garden State will receive a ballot in the mail ahead of November’s elections, which include the presidential race.”

“ The letter was sent to New Jersey’s secretary of state July 30 by Thomas Marshall, the agency’s general counsel and executive vice president.

“Marshall wrote, “under our reading of New Jersey’s election laws, certain deadlines for requesting and casting mail-in ballots are incongruous with the Postal Service’s delivery standards.”

“That creates a “significant risk” a ballot could be requested and returned too late to be counted, he said.“

And the article continues on along with a copy of the letter submitted if anyone want to read the entire thing.
