Back in the seventies my friends and family members gave each other LPs as gifts. Oh yeah there were the occasional tapes and well later, CDs. But my personal collection of music always had some meaningful music that was gifted at Christmas.

With that said, I would like to share (IMHO) one of the eras greatest band and it's music with my fellow VRCC members. I remember seeing the Marshall Tucker Band and the Charlie Daniels Band on the same bill at an outdoor music pavillion during a tremendous storm. There were 90 mph winds, rain, and hail. The concert kept going because the weather conditions were so bad that they shut down I75 and since there was so much debris everywhere and the roads were flooded. The pavillion had to run their back-up generatorsand  the promoter asked if both bands could keep playing, as no one could go anywhere due to the weather and road conditions.
Both bands ran out of songs to play. But both bands got on the stage together and played the longest version of the hymn "Will the Circle be Unbroken". The crowd went wild as the song ended and the storm abruptly ended at that same moment. I'm not the most religious person, but at that moment, it seemed that God heard those bands in Heaven.

And after watching these videos, please share your thoughts, memories, and comments.
