Dose anyone recall about a year age someone had or had pictures of a mini travel trailer for motorcycles. Looked like a mini mobile home outside but the inside was gorgeous, kind of look like a boat cuddy cabin inside.

Do you mean like what is pictured below or a trailer toy hauler that also acts as a trailer for your bike?

There’s a dealer down the road from me that sells those exact same trailers.  If you want, get me a make and model and I’ll see what kind of price he would sell one for.

See what price quote you get for the one above... that is the one they make for motorcycles.  See what options he has for what price as well.  I would imagine not much diff than that listed..... but appreciate what you find out.

I went to the guy this early afternoon and asked him what he’d want and he said if I bought it today he’d sell it for $4995.  But then again he wants $300 for shipping, and $100 for set up fees.  I asked him if I could buy it from him and pick it up at the factory so I could save the shipping fee’s and he said that they would still charge me $50 for set up and wiring…..

i'll tell you, the problem with those types of trailers is if your equipment leaks fuel or any other fluid it stinks up your sleeping area.

PAVALK, there's also a RV dealer -just down the road from me- !!! Grin

Here's our toyhauler - and my son on his TTR90.

We hauled all three bikes pictured - and ourselves - to my sister's horse farm for Thanksgiving with room to spare.  I've also hauled mine and Laser Pat's Valks in it with no problem.  The trailer does have a big remote controlled vent over the hauler part to help with the "spill" issue, but it can still be a problem.  It doesn't take but a few drops of gasoline to stink the whole trailer up.  (Unfortunately, I know this from experience. Sad)  My best advice is to just be careful! Smiley

The Little Guy Rascal is the one I was talking about. Just have to figure out the maximum pulling weight for the Valk. THANK YOU for your info.

PAVALKER,

That is a Roadmaster R-Sport 17'. They sell for less than 15K loaded, are 105" wide, hold two fully dressed motorcycles (2 I/Ss?), and are light enough to tow behind most any 1/2 ton pick-up.

They come with airconditioning, microwave, two burner LP stove, LP heater, AM,FM,CD sound system with interior and exterior speakers. It has a full size bed and a couch/twin bed that fold into the sides.

Google in Roadmaster R-Sport and you will find a dealer in SC that has loaded 2009 new models for $12,500. There is also a $2500 government incentive, if you buy one, thus bringing the cost down to 10K.

I would think that if you put some type of tray under the bike, once you have it cinched down, that has some type of absorbtion material on it to catch the leak, that once you got to your destination and removed the bike and the tray, it wouldn't take long to rid the trailer of the gas smell...just a thought.

BamaDrifter64,
Those "Toy Haulers" have venting to keep smells out. There are vents in the front, up high, and exhaust vents in the rear, down low. Those vents work better than you can imagine.

And if your bike leaks,...well it ain't a Valk. I've seen HDs being towed with puppy trainiong pads below them to sop up leaking fluids.

Regarding the dual axle trailer, with the living quarters, I think the Valk could probly pull it, but the gas milage would suck! Hoser

Where I work, we have one that an older gentleman had purchased and the wife refused to get in it. so, he came to us, bought a pop up and traded the lil guy. I put it on the back of my valk and took it for a spin. tows real nice, 20lb tongue wieght, even slowing down was an issue. I also have a car tire on the back. makes a difference if these darksiders are correct. felt belt stopping.

My boss is asking 4500 for this one. it has never been used so it is basically still new.

http://www.stmichaelsrv.com/pre_owned_list.asp?newused=B&category=&mfg=4476&ModelYearFrom=&ModelYearThru=&stocknumber=&submit=Search

might have to copy and paste but, its advertised for 4995 but he will go 4500 for it.  and yes fudgie, you might get 3 in there but it will be tight. i can get my big ass in there and there is plenty of room for more...  Wink
