. . .....been making these every Christmas for the last 25 years at least...started out with just a few trays....but folks dug em so much that over the years the "batch" has grown considerably....just got done the ...first wave...tonight with 6 trays....friends and acquaitances around town are already quizzing me.....when are the cherries comming ?!?


.....we always take a few trays down to the Grayling Restaurant for the waitresses....first time we did they were gobbling them up and since I soak these puppies for 3 daze......they all got a mighty fine buzz...at work...so the manager snatched up what was left and locked em in her office and declared that no more were to be eaten until....after work..  Cool

Those look good!

Every year I make fudge with cherries in ‘em.  My wife hates it ‘cause she can’t stay away from them.  But those brandy cherries sound like a better candy project this year! 

how long do you soak the cherries?

. ....yeh Don...it is great sharing this tradition with friends....especially at Christmas time....and from what Ive seen of the photos that you and your wife post of some of the great feast that she prepares for you.... with her Chef like talent.....I know you also must be enjoying this time of the year.....
