So here’s a fancy bit of news out of California.

Right now I’m at a loss for words.

You just have to read the article, I’m disgusted to even copy and paste.

https://www.theblaze.com/news/california-lgbt-adults-sex-teens

“ The bill — SB 145 — was introduced by state Sen. Scott Wiener (D), an openly gay man, and seeks to prevent gay adults who sodomize or perform oral sex with underage teenagers from being automatically assigned to California's sex offender registry.“

“The legislation calls for a judge to use discretion on assigning an individual to the sex offender registry if their victim was between the ages of 14 to 17 and the age difference between the offender and the victim is less than 10 years.“

The bill passed the California state Senate by a 23-10 vote and passed the Assembly by a 41-18 vote, the San Fransisco Chronicle reported.”

The price that will eventually be paid by California and it's leaders will be horrendous. Somewhat akin to digging your own grave before being executed. Mark my word....it will come, maybe not in my lifetime, but it will come and the people of California will suffer for voting in the foolish people they've put in place.

We already are, Ca is a red state aside from LA, SF and SAC.. millions of illegals voting here have turned the tide, and it's happened since Reagan made his huge blunder. I know because I moved here in the first year of his administration while in the AF.
There are many millions of us conservatives living here, under the thumb of blue, incompetent tyrants.. what really finished turning the tide here is ballot harvesting, it turned 6 elections won by conservatives, giving the demunists complete control over us.
Newsom is by far the worst Gov we've ever had.. they're attempting to use the template in Nevada right now, among other states I believe. The national mail in voting scam they're attempting is based on the California model.

Pray for us, we need a lifeline.

I hate to be the one to point it out, but I researched this law a bit, and all it does it bring consensual gay sex in line with the same statutes as consensual hetero sex.....

"Currently, for consensual yet illegal sexual relations between a teenager age 14 to 17 and a partner within 10 years of age, “sexual intercourse” (i.e., vaginal intercourse) does not mandate that the offender to go onto the sex offender registry; rather, the judge has discretion to decide, based on the facts of the case, whether sex offender registration is warranted or unwarranted. By contrast, for all other forms of intercourse — specifically, oral and anal intercourse — sex offender registration is mandated under all situations, with no judicial discretion."

California is completely insane in many many ways, but this isn't one of them...

I have never, in my life, heard of consensual sex between a 14 year old girl and a 24...(I’m sorry it has to be LESS THAN 10 years older) a 23 year old man.

The terms jail bait,  robbin’ the cradle and the song “Five Short Minutes” come to mind real quick.

These laws are aimed at cases where one party is barely legal and the other is barely illegal (for the most part).  Absent force, coercion, rape, drugs, abuse yada, and with full consent, I favor lesser penalties for the barely legals. (though minors technically cannot consent)

Although I think 10 years (of age difference) is a stretch.  14 and 24 don't cut it.

Imagine my surprise in JAG school (UCMJ) when I was informed it was a felony for my wife or me to give oral entertainment.  Say WHAT?

I was told that curtains were an excellent remedy.

Granted, I think 10 years is overly, shall we say generous, but I'd still argue that whatever the law is for hetero sex should be the same for gay sex.

And this law doesn't make it automatically okay, it just makes it judge's discretion.

Also, as the law was previously a heterosexual non-vaginal encounter would fall under the same automatic stipulations as a gay encounter...

(And yeah, the eternal 7th grader in me laughed when I noticed the bill was introduced by Senator Wiener.)
