Sorry about that  Undecided I'll see if I can fix the link. It's a story about letters people wrote back during the Spanish Flu. One 16 year old girl in particular.

Sorry. Can't figure how to fix it. It takes me right to the story. If anyone cares to look it up (I think it's worthwhile) the title of the story is "It's getting better now" by a writer with the Washington Post.

I'm not a fan of the WoPo, so not about to buy it. Any form of buying it.

But the 1918 flu, yep, it was nasty. It went world wide for what ? 3 years ?

It's fascinating to see personal notes and communications from the past, very good article in my opinion.

BTW, I use a script blocker in the browser along with the usual ad-block software.. once you get the hang of script blocking, you take control of what pops up on the screen.. more often that not anyway.
