Fascinating guy, thanks for the links! When I posted the picture I figured this was cutting edge not from 1985. I also learned from Serks links that this guy worked on the Ford GT 40 project in the 60’s. Having watch the vid from Serk, in drag racing is it the front wheel that goes to the line or the nose of the vehicle. Whatever part breaks the photo lights determines the start and the finish results. |

Just as John was getting ready for his first ever quarter mile on this contraption, he again wondered why his wife had insisted he increase his life insurance to a million dollars just last week. And that she had worked on the brakes herself last night and he had forgotten to check them himself this morning. Wait a minute here..... and Yellow and GREEN.  You know, now I'm thinking rigging up some kind of seat belt or harness wasn't such a goofy idea after all. As the warm up had taken much longer than expected, John suddenly realized his feet were approaching 400 degrees. This borrowed suit is giving me such a wedgie... and when I pull this hole shot it's gonna turn nuclear. |
