Disgusting! It sounds like they have an issue with him confronting the group in front of his bar. Maybe just maybe he wouldn't have done so if he wasn't armed which led to the shooting. The 2nd amendment is being destroyed.

Since they could not get gun control passed they went another way. Prosecute anyone who protects themselves with a gun. Why do you think Soros is funding the DA in cities? The physiological effect is chilling, use your gun, go to jail or get prosecuted. Yet we have some who vote this in. Mark McCloskey pointing a semi-automatic rifle and Patricia McCloskey pointing a hand gun at the crowd.

So, it's wrong to fire a 2nd warning shot, but it's Ok to defend yourself ? What a stretch of justice. No wonder he committed suicide...

WTF. Confronted by a group. He backs away. Knocked to the ground. Defends himself. AND HE'S IN THE WRONG. Were the attackers arrested and charged??? It's a shame that the trial wont happen.

I'm not about to move to Omaha anytime soon. This is beyond ridiculous. I can't believe the way this country is turning.

so here in Nazi Jersey even more so with the current Tyrant gov, the law is and has been for decades, if person/s break into your home, u must first retreat to outside the home. if u fire and kill them I think even if one used any kind of weapon, and its proven u could have escaped the home, before killing them then u will go to jail for murder. It is amazing How many NJers do not know that.

Something similar happened here in our little town a few decades ago. I guy broke into a house and was going up the stairs when the owner shot him. They charged and started to prosecute him. I not sure what happened now but he did finally get off, but, it took awhile. We're not safe on our own properties anymore.

That is exactly why I decided to get carry insurance by USCCA. At least I will have back-up in my corner should I have to protect myself or family.

I subsribe to ACLDN - Armed Citizen's Legal Defense Network. Not expensive. I don't know their success rate in defense actions. Might be irrelevent, you pick the lawyer yourself and they pay for him. They help you find the lawyer if needed.

I can't decide if I'm more sad, or pissed off over this. The idea that someone could rightfully be found innocent and then a mob can coerce the DA to relent. Perhaps I'm overstating the obvious. But this is just a small part of the big picture. Those of us who at least have a superficial knowledge of 20th century history may recognize that this backasswards and seemingly illogical approach to law and order nowadays is not without precedence. I'm guessing that many, if not most of us here were around during 60s and 70s as the Chinese cultural revolution was taking place on the other side of the globe. I normally don't sit through an entire 15+ minute video once I get the gist of it. But this one I couldn't break away from. It lays out the parallels between what happened in China back then (or any Communist revolution for that matter) and what's currently happening here at home. Have you noticed the price of ammo lately? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olXipfCKUoo

Eventually the Red Guards moved on to openly killing people who did not think as they did. Where were the police? The cops were told not to intervene in Red Guard activities, and if they did, the national police chief pardoned the Guards for any crimes. https://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/remember-the-red-guards-before-you-cheer-the-woke-mobs/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Guards
