a/k/a Stuffy. '99 I/S Valk Roadsmith Trike

De Pere, WI (Green Bay)

When the Roadsmith factory installed the trike kit, they have pinched what appears to be the antenna lead. It's caught in between the right side fender/grab rail and the rear fender. I've loosened the two fender bolts and a large bolt that goes into the top shock attachment point. I don't dare loosen it much more or the entire right side is apt to drop. It's one of the kit attachment points so will look a little closer about that. I have all but about 2" freed up but the rest won't budge. I'm wanting to remove the trunk and its mount so as to clean the undercarriage of all the oil blown on it from the differential leak. l think this antenna cable is the last thing preventing trunk removal.  Angry

Excuse me....just venting a bit.

do you have any room say 1/2 inch tops is all you need if can run to Menards and get the 2-3 foot grabber tool that is thin and has a claw on the end to pick up things?  It has saved me a couple of times on cars dropping bolts, etc. down on frame, etc. where I needed a thinner and longer arm to get in there to get the bolt, etc. out.

they make one with a magnet as well I think they come in handy for clumsy people like me.

Do not feel bad,  I spent 4 fricking hours last night getting 3 toilet top bolts loose been on top tank for 27 years OEM poddy.  Wife held bolt on top with vice grips while I used vice grips on bottom with open ended 9/16" wrench 1 inch at a time.  3rd bolt I gave up tank top was loose so wedged a hacksaw in there on the last of 3 bolts and cut the darn thing off.  The rest replacing the guts inside poddy took less than 1 hour but 3 bolts took 4 hours to undo.    Now, the bolts I replaced are leaking even tight with rubber washer on them both inside tank and on bottom with nut and metal washer and rubber washer to seal.  You wanna talk about pissed off!   tickedoff
