Feliz Natal in Portuguese or in english - MERRY CHRISTMAS!  angel

Not leaving Africa until next year so I get Christmas here this year.  Making the best of it.  We are suppose to have a special dinner tonight at the staff house and then up to the roof for free liquor.  Tomorrow I am going to BBQ for the staff house and then free liquor.  Actually got off work at 4:00 pm since it was Christmas Eve and will work from the staff house tomorrow.  That is nice!!!

Called Red a few minutes ago and told her to send pictures of the Grandbabies at Christmas.  Got really down when I hung up.  She said it is raining cats and dogs right now in Louisiana, but should get cold tonight.  Should be good Christmas temps by tomorrow....GOOD!

Did get some Christmas cheer today BIG TIME.  We pulled some money together and were able to give all 5 of the drivers and the 2 local office staff $150 each to help with Christmas and I invited all my field engineers and the local office staff to share in dinner and festivities here if they would like.  I got an email with the following.....

"Thanks for your support during the past year. You have became part of our family (its not easy because we are very selective)"

Well, that made my day!!!  I guess I am an honorary Angolan now.....WHOOO-HOOOO!!!!

Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!  MAY IT BE HAPPY AND SAFE!

Ditto.  I like that free liquor thing you have going there, too bad you have to be in Angola to take advantage of it.  I hope you and your family have a Merry and Safe Christmas in spite of the separation.

Merry Christmas Strider!

You may think I'm insane (You wouldn't be alone), but I'd trade places with ya' in a heartbeat, even without the free liquor... Every time I've been to Africa, I've left a part of my heart over there, and it doesn't look like I'll be going back anytime soon... Kinda miss the place...

Merry Christmas, Warren.  Here's wishing you two joyous Christmas celebrations; one in Luanda and one in Louisiana.
