Hi all,
I recently purchased another interstate. Due to the previous owner letting it sit in a damp garage covered in plastic for 10 years, I have my doubts that it will clean up. If I do manage to get it running decent, I will probably strip all the extras off and make a bobber out of it.

Anyway, the question I have now is, do any of you recognize this cruise control switch?  Is this particular type of cruise worth saving?  Should I just pull it out and toss it, or save it for someone that might need parts someday?.

Right now I'm just taking off all the add ons and pretty much making a pile with them. It's a shame because this bike was loaded with almost all the  aftermarket racks, covers, etc. BUT, now all the bling is pitted beyond cleaning up.

The controller looks similar to the MC Cruise but the one on their  website looks a little different. It is an expensive unit. Hope this helps

Jim , contact me before trashing any bling. I work with a powder coater.  Some may be salvaged.

Jim, if not mistaken that's a Cal Custom Cruise Control ZT-12. Coincidentally I just was looking at one on Ebay and contemplating buying it for installation on the trike.

Dusty,
You are correct, I found a label on the underside of the computer. It seems to be a much older version, they have gone through several updates in 24 years. Thanks.

Prez,
I will contact you, I was actually thinking the same thing. It is a shame to toss all that expensive bling, in fact I think the racks would look sharp in a semi gloss black. I don't think there is much that can be done with the plastic chromed pieces though.

John,
You are going to be the recipient of a used, slightly greasy, slightly pitted MCCruise unit, at about 5% of retail cost. I hope it works for you.

Jim , I have stripped and painted many  plastic parts and am very good at repairing the plastic.
