“WWBT-TV reported that "several post offices" called law enforcement to report that the door latches on the busted mail boxes had been "pried open with a tool or force." “

“Three of the compromised mail boxes were located in Henrico County, two in Chesterfield County, and one in the capital city of Richmond, an independent city.“

“The announcement stated that "neither the department nor USPS has information about whether any election mail was contained in the boxes," adding that the postal service had launched an investigation.”

“ Election authorities noted that voters who fear their ballot might have been dropped into one of the damaged mail boxes can track their ballot online at the state's election website, and reassured them that a new ballot could be issued, if necessary, at their local registrar's office.”

INFORMATION FOR VOTERS ON RECENT CENTRAL VA USPS INCIDENTS
RICHMOND, VA – This morning, the Department of Elections was made aware that six outdoor mail collection boxes were broken into sometime between Saturday afternoon and this morning. At this time, the United States Postal Service is investigating. Neither the Department nor USPS has any information about whether any election mail was contained in the boxes.

Anyone who dropped mail in the boxes at the post offices between 3 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. this morning should contact a USPS hotline at 877-876-2455 to report it. Voters can track their ballot online to see if it has been received by going to "check my registration" at elections.virginia.gov/voterinformation. If a voter needs a new ballot issued, they should contact their local general registrar’s office at elections.virginia.gov/localGR. The following post offices were affected:

That’s easy. My ballot was in there it must be stolen. Send me another one. Sure no problem here’s two in case it happens again. And they said nothing could go wrong.

I have a question. 

In my state, South Carolina, there is a requirement to have a "authenticated" ID/Drivers License.  I think the deadline is now late next year (2021)t.

Anyway, I think this ID requirement is for all states (not sure but think so).

As I understand it, without this ID, you cannot enter a federal building, can't fly, and other things.

So, if you cannot enter a federal building without a real ID, how is it possible to vote without a "real id"? 

I know, not the same but there are many things that you cannot do without a "Real ID". 

And yes, I don't have one and will use my passport as needed.

You're talking about "Real ID" , and yes it is a requirement for all states. Without the "Real ID" , you would no longer be allowed to enter many Federal Facilities (to include, but not limited to, Military Bases, VA clinics / hospitals, Social security Offices, Federal Courthouses, and so on). You listed a few others. Some states got an extension, but they are still supposed to be making progress towards everybody having one.

For Kansas, there will be a white star circled by a gold field. Check your state's Drivers License office website for the requirements - they are more than what you need for a regular drivers license. Using a passport can satisfy at least part of the requirements to convert Drivers license to a Real ID Drivers license.

I would strongly urge everybody to get this done ASAP.
