Didn't have to go to work till noon today. Went for a little ride.







Tried to capture the metal flake in the paint. Picture still doesn't do it justice.

Love the bike, and post, but I have an unrelated question.

I see you wear a half helmet.  How does that shorty shield work for you (and what's your height)?  

That looks like a face full of wind (and occasional bugs and road debris) at speeds above 45-50.  

Though I have straight interstate fairings.

In my 15 years of riding I have always had no shield or a short one. Yes I occasionally get hit by a bug or too.
I'm 5'6" and my seat is a Lowrider.

Beautiful Valk, Vance. The colours and paint scheme as well as the add-ons are all tastefully done, giving it a unique but still classic look. Love the rear fender mod too...wouldn't work here in BC with our larger plates (have always wished we could have the smaller MC ones like in the US).
