Sometimes ya just gotta go...

Winter Springs, FL - Occasionally...

« on: October 10, 2020, 07:24:15 AM »

Punisher installed a shifter brace on our girl as a birthday present to me... It's the one made by Chuck Lane (F6Banger) and his partner Steve Cain... It's also the one where no holes need to be drilled, and that installs so easily! I've only ridden with it less than a hundred miles so far, but... I do like it!

The first thing I noticed was how much more easily neutral was found! WOW! It hasn't been that easy since early in our time together. The shifting of gears while underway seems 'sharper and more precise' than the usual nagging, growing sloppiness we were experiencing the last couple of years. Not an earth-changing experience, of course, but there was a definite noticeable improvement in shifting... I'd recommend that well-designed, well-thought-out product to anyone! Thanks Chuck & Steve... and especially, "Thanks Allan!!!"

Rob,

Thanks for the help with the name! I've met Steve before, but... neither Allan nor I could recall that moniker at the time I posted this, regrettably. Chuck's name was no problem for me at all, as he had taken me under his wing and chaperoned this innocent, fledgling tourista around Albuquerque once upon a time... a dear friend indeed! Ironically, I actually met Chuck the first time in Prescott! Steve I met the first time, I think, in Tucumcari, but I've also seen him elsewhere... only a couple of times, however. Anyway, I do like both of them, so thanks for setting me straight on that!

I see in the Vendors page the "Jersey Shifter Bracket".
Is this the one of which is being spoken about?
If not, where would I find it?

THX!

They are 2 different shifter braces. Mike in Jersey sells one and “scain” sells one out of Albequerque.
Oh heck; I can’t spell Albakooki.

Be careful here.  I've allowed you more leeway than I should have based upon someone's simple relating his personal experience.

We don't allow advertisements as posts on the boards, especially for competition to our paying advertisers.  When we start relating how to make contact for a product we have crossed that line.
