Holliston, MA Rail Trail Viaduct
There's a cool rail trail in Holliston, MA that we explored last Saturday. The viaduct was completed in 1846.

Thanks for the colorful pix Tony.
Foliage here has been dull and drab, caused by a drier than normal summer.

Nice photos.  I have never seen the Holliston rail trestle.  I have been riding through Vermont and the Adirondack Mts, a lot this Fall visiting family.

Cool, glad you enjoyed it, too! We were on it on Tuesday October 6th. If we were a week earlier the colors would have been better. They were a bit past peak. The drought caused the colors to peak earlier this year.

While we were on the train we saw a couple of drones flying along side of it. On You Tube I searched on Crawford Notch drone video and watched some cool videos, that included then Frankenstein Trestle.  Cool

The foliage in Central Mass peaked this past week. The drought caused the peak to be earlier this year. The colors we saw looked good.

Judging from my yard, a lot of leaves came down from the storm that just passed through. Colors in CT and RI will be peaking this current week.   cooldude

Tom, if you ride on Woodland Street in Holliston, you'll see the viaduct. There's also a tunnel, Phipps Tunnel, dug underneath Highland Street on this rail trail. It's 92 feet long. We walked through that, too. It took workers a year to dig that tunnel because the earth was so dense.    Cool

Thanks. We did. We were a little concerned about eating out and staying safe, but the restaurants we went to for dinner handled safety very well. We were impressed and glad. One of the restaurants was Moat Mountain. Haven't been there since a VRCC ride in May 2015. That was a good ride!  cooldude
